I never thought you were a bot, just one of the better regs at NL50 that always would hit the right card on me or worse all just barely beat me.

Like I have Two Pair, your Two pair is better. I have QQ over pair and you have KK over pair. I have mid set, you have top set....of course I am exagerating, but never let the truth get in the way of a good gripe

I mix these in, but they are not in my standard EP raising range. if i have been card dead, or the table is tight.

Geh, I feel dirty. I let an 83/22 dude (running in god mode) tilt me last night and I spewed off twice to him. When will I learn to just leave a table where these guys have position on me. I know they get to me and yet I see the stats and know they are easy money a lot of the time and keep thinking if I can just hit a hand......

I think I actually prefer the lobby to PS. Stars lobby disappears every time I open a table. Very annoying.

Agree with points and Ironman gripe. Despise the "play number of days" requirement.

Just my opinion, but I think FT 3 bets way more than PS, especially at 50NL.

Back to reading Tommy Angelo.
Villian was 80/70 over a small sample. With him on my left, I'd already unchecked the blinds button , knowing it was going to be bad news. I'd seen him 3 bet every raised pot he entered, so I was definitely ahead of his range. Just playing out my orbit.

Hey everyone I'm sort of new to the microstakes grinding. I just discovered the wonderful world of 12 tabling after never playing more than 5 tables(6 max) before in my life. I'm at nl10 grinding under mrridiculous. I'm running pretty hot and looking forward to moving up once i get a decent bankroll for nl25. I have about 7k hands at 7.5bb/100. I only have about 200 in my roll but i'm just wondering how much I would need in my roll to move up. Obviously I have a small sample size at 7k hands but these games seem super easy and I feel like I have been coolered my fair share of times. But anywho nice to meet all you guys and I look forward to seeing you at the tables.

Edit: Also anyone know how much rakeback I can expect every 1k hands at nl10? Just wondering whats normal.

Normal move up would be around 20 buy ins, or 500 for NL25. It really depends on your ability to reload if you need to and how confident you are in your game.

As far as rakeback goes, at NL10 my data base shows about $4.30/1k hands. From a Small sample of about 9000 hands from earlier this year. You obviously make more per 1000 on looser tables.

Yeah he didn't look good at all against Mir, it sucks

You see any of his days in pride? He looked so good a few years ago...same with Wanderlei, they've taken too many bad beatings, even though theyre both only 32. Whereas you look at Couture who's aged really well....until his last fight anyway lol. Good to know theres another MMA fan on the forum. zthyrrr or something is a fan too.

Haha I saw that episode too...and also started adding it to my game...sick of gettin cold decked with small pairs. Watchin episode 6 right now actually.
I play 25NLFR on FTP... just moved over from stars.. I'm also a MMA fan.. I actually train BJJ in Vegas at Robert Drysdale's school...

Also, all of you talking about using points for Stox, its not really free is it? Since dont they take it out of your MGR and rakeback?
01-10-2009 , 05:41 AM
its free and all u have to do is to collect 3k~ ftps per month

Don't play them. There is lower hanging fruit on other tables. I know the regular tables are infested with short stackers right now, but I would rather play push/fold with a couple terrible short stacker than sit at a table of nits. Especially if there are a couple of really bad full stacks at the table too. Not saying that you can't beat these nitty guys, because you can steal them to death, but you're going to make more playing with looser players in general.

Hello FT Regs

I read the forums quite a bit but do not post very much.

I play 25 and 50 FR at Tilt off and on. Allmost all Full Tilt since October. I switch between FR and 6Max when my game at one gets stale.

Usually only play 3 or 4 tables at once. 8000 hands so far in January (900 hands per day)

I am Canadian so can play at any site (except Bodog). Started playing in 2004 on Prima and have played at Party, Ongame, Paradise, Stars, UB, Absolute, Boss and IPoker. Bonus chasing was good.

When I first started playing 25NL Ful Ring you could easily find tables with >40% vpip and you could win whole stacks with a set vs top pair. Dont remember a problem with short stackers. those days are gone.

All of the sites play about the same at the micro-level. US players are not missing too much by not being able to play at Party. It is full of super tight short stacking hit and runners. IPoker is not much better. There are lots of tables at those sites with vpip below 10%!!

I like FT. Software is good enough to easliy 3 or 4 table, weekly payout of rakeback is really nice.

I wish FT would create tables with a higher min buy-in (say 50bb) to help tackle the short stack problem. Deep tables help but are not the answer.

Nice! How long have you been training? I've only been in it about 8 months but it's a great way to blow off stess. Although I was out 2 months for an injury

PS WTF! You have to play everyday to hit Iron status? I will never in my life play poker every single day. That's crazy. Is Gold worth trying to achieve? That seems doable.

15 days at 100 for Bronze
15 days at 200 for Silver
20 days at 200 for Gold
25 days at 200 for Iron

You still get the semiannual Bonus at the lower levels for lesser amounts as long as you qualify for Ironman in the previous month, I believe June for the July bonus and December for the January bonus.)

But yeah, total points for the month would be so much better.
01-10-2009 , 07:09 PM
I've been to a couple of jiu jitsu and kickboxing classes...it's good stuff. A new school just opened close to me so might check it out soon.

RE: Stox membership... You have to use your points (5k) the first time and it will affect your rakeback, but afterwards if you sign up at the absolutely free training site as long as you continue to accumulate 2.5k points each month your membership will continue without affecting points or rakeback (as far as I understand)! Sounds pretty sweet. I just started at FT so I'm still waiting to get 5k points. I'm really looking forward to getting there. I have done a few sessions with Split and I really want to see his videos and the new Ed Miller ones.

MMA related (Very LC skip if you're not into it haha)

Yeah, MMA is a great hobby on a bunch of levels. I was on a ski trip recently and some drunk douchebag was harrassing some chic really bad. Being the gentlement I am I offered her a seat at our table (I was with my lady friend so wasn't trying to work any angles lol). Then the drunk guy started threatening to knock me out and flexing for me haha. He told me to be a man and give her back lol. He was visibly wobbly and I felt pretty reassured that I spend a fair amount of time grappling with people more bada$$ than him. Then my buddy I train got back with our next pitcher. Luckily we were only about a beer and a half deep so we still had enough sense not to escelate the situation - but maybe that would have been a better story. Tl;dr it's nice to know how to choke people like that unconsious just in case...

Also after starting work full time I notice a more flap in the midsection, cholesterol going up... an active hobby is a good thing.

I'm training at Southwest MMA which I found b/c my local dive bar is in the same place and joined it without much research into the school. Turns out it's such a good group of guys. If you are a fan of The Ultimate Fighter reality show, Efrain trains there - the guy who just won lightweight division. That's pretty bad@$$ imo I've only met him a few times though b/c all the pro fighters tend to train during the day when I'm slavin for the man.
