Re: ***Official 2009 Micro Stakes FR Full Tilt Regulars Thread***

@RunTheJwls: Eh? 6 max? I'm just getting about 50-60 hands/hr playing FR.

Just bought FT Table Opener and think I'll get that FT Shortcuts thingie as well... But first want to stop giving you people all my money. Finally had a positive session again yesterday though, still down 6-7 BI this month running like crap and playing like crap hehe, but perhaps the start of a more positive time.

Also, any reason why you switched to Tilt?? Standard "rakeback > VIP program at the micros" scenario??

I switch back and forth between stars and FT. All in all I gotta say that the FT table software is much better (faster, controls seem more intuitive). There are quite a few multi-tablers at FT as well, but for some reason you just don't see the drag that you do at stars.

Downside at FT is not having hundreds of tables to choose from when looking for a decent table without tons of short stacks. (oh and that whole lobby filtering thing).

Software is faster.

Also <3 deep tables.

Mmmm rakeback.

Stacking tables is good for mass tables. Keeps mouse movement minimal. I only play 8 though on a crappy ass laptop, so I have a funky tiled/layered thing from top to bottom. Overlapping rows I guess you'd call it.

edit: Also like seeing hands immediately when all in so I know what cards to yell for when I'm behind.

As an aside to all you on the fence about FT Shortcuts. Nanochip is working on a version that will have functionality on both Stars and FTP. I am a tester and have only minor problems as we work out the kinks. 6 tables Stars/ 6 tables FTP go seamlessly.

Beating NL25 for almost 5bb/100 if you care

But in these days FTP just sucks... imho. Lot of shorties , and hyper nits
OK, cool. What I've seen you play pretty solid. Don't think we have played that many pots against each other. Staying out of your way most of the time.

Agree on the shorties and nits though, stars had more fish/table but the same amount of shorties imo.

Needed a change of scenery after a bad month and a half at Stars. The whole mental fresh start has really helped so far. I've got a clear database, players I don't know at all, and I've been able to focus much better.

In addition, the rakeback structure at Stars is not the best given how inconsistent it is. You have to earn the bonus, clear the bonus, and you don't even get full value if you aren't saving for $1500 bonuses, etc. Although if we are talking about complicated structures the FT Iron Man page made my brain hurt.

Also, I wanted to play some of those WSOP sats to the smaller events.

Thanks for not killing me my first night back FT.
Now lets work on better table selection for us. I didn't realize the # of Shorties had gotten that bad.

I've always played on FT and wanted to know, how are the uNL tables @ stars. 10nl to 50nl. Is there more money to be made? Are there more fishy players?

I would say there is more fish at stars 10NL to 50NL. But you also have one or two more shorties at each table on average at stars imo. And for me who will make it to goldstar at best, FTP with rb is much better.

just fooling around on 50 and 100 for now. Trying out the deep tables and seeing what the regs are like. Deep tables look like fun, but tbh, I think there was only one player at my tables with a pulse.

deep tables are so good at uNL50. I don't know if the players are weaker of the fact that there is no SS to effect the play, but my WR at the deepstack is signficantly higer than the normal tables. Over the last 25K hands at each (I am running good in those hands). 6ptbb/100 at the normal buyins and 14ptbb/100 at the deep stack.

my wr in hands where effective stacks are >180bb is a hair lower than my overall wr. probably just variance, but I'm gonna keep an eye on it.

I think its variance for me. I know a few times I was real deep that I hit back door draws on people and get my backdoor flushes and str8s paid off. So I am going through a stretch were people will float me on the flop (which they do more in deepstack), then I either get a good scare card to double barrel, or I pick up a good draw to the nuts on the turn and I can double barrel there, and if they do float me two streets and I hit they are usually strong enough that I can get the stacks in, if not I get a lot of FE on the turn which is nice.

In the 100bb games you don't get good IO on draws on the turn, and people get committed so easily you hardly have any FE on the turn. Plus people fold more on the flop in the normal games. So the only way you win a decent pot is some really thin vbets, coolers and idiots who overplay there hands.

Deepstack people are more willing to play games but don't want to overcomit with 1 pair type hands, but will value float two streets with them.

My cliffnotes on the game is 100BB or less poker the most money is made by strong preflop and flop play. In deepstack, turn and river play become extremely important.
