Also I want to get the 100% deposit bonus, but that will just take away from rakeback correct? Basically I don't really know what to do, whether to stay at Stars or go to Full Tilt, and getting some of these questions answered would definitely help. I will be at 50nl getting decent volume, but not enough for nova at Stars, what do you guys think? Thanks.
I got RB well after I signed up for full tilt. Like six months. I downloaded the software directly off the full tilt site, though. If you downloaded from an affiliate, you might have some trouble.

I downloaded it directly as well, did you get it through rakebackpros or something else?

What did you do specifically for it to work, because on the rakebackpros site it says to enter their referral code when you sign up with Full Tilt, but I've already signed up. I read in a Full Tilt forum to just email both Full Tilt support and Rakebackpros and you will be added to a list to get rakeback. Sorry for all the questions, I really appreciate the help from you guys.

I sent their (RBP) support contact an email with my full tilt name and asked them if I was eligible to get RB. After about a week, they said I was, so I signed up on the site and had an account made.

I never emailed full tilt.

Ten buy-in downswing over the last ~2k hands. Coolered every f'in which way, tilting/fpsing all over the table...terrible.

Solid end to '09. Good reason to go drink my face off though Happy new years everyone!

LOL. You are in for a rude surprise if you have interacted with PokerStars support in the past and need to interact with FT support in the future. They are so bad about responding in a timely fashion.

Also, good luck with trying not to get ****ed in the ass over rakeback! You sir are an advertisement for why I stayed at PokerStars for over a year: I was paranoid about signing up at FT and doing it wrong.

As for the deposit bonus, here is how it works: every dollar you earn for your deposit bonus is subtracted from the MGR you are credited with.

I.e. you rakeback is as follows:
rakeback = .27 (MGR - bonus earn - deposit_and_withdrawal_charges)
e.g. my last eCheck incurred a $27 charge against my MGR (dealt rake).

Even with the bonus reducing your rakeback, the sum total is still quite a bit better than rakeback alone.

Alright thanks, that definitely clears stuff up for me. So I just withdrew almost all of my Stars roll, and would now like to put $600 on FT, but the option I believe I used before was echecks (straight from bank account right?) and that says $100 is the maximum initial deposit. There's gotta be a way I can get $600 on the initial deposit right?

Wheras, if he's tight, we'll be struggling to make any money out of him cuz you know, we're gonna be dominated and bla bla bla. So we can't flat profitable, so the choice is to 3bet of fold. Since A9s is the top of our folding range, we decide to 3bet it.

But, what if you it turns out that 3betting A9s is more profitable than flatting aginst a loose player i a vaccum? Still flat it!! Why? Because if we decide to 3bet A9s we have to drop out some junk from our 3betting range in order for it to not be completely messed up. And thus, we lose value. Therefore we flat A9s and keep some junk hands in our 3betting range.

Hope that made sense
I don't think any uNLFR or SSNLFR games are going to be so tough that you will have to worry about balancing your range in spots like these. I think 3betting A9s is probably going to be an OK move against a loose player in a BD spot where he's abusing BTN or in a spot where we have position (MP/HJ/COvBTN). If anything, doesn't allowing our 3bet range to widen a good thing for our image vs. thinking regs?

edit: I do agree with the reasoning behind the play against a tight player though.

Meh I think they'd notice if you 3bet them an absur amount.

Is the end-of-year bonus supposed to show up in my bonus account right away? Figured I'd grind a bit before the celebration (I'm on the west coast).

Welcome to a new decade mofos. Good luck as long as it's not on my behalf!

It doesn't appear in Bonus Account, you have to go to the Iron Man thing in My Promotions, then click on "Track your bonus status here"

It's not working properly yet though.
