depending on the villain's stats, this is either a nice hand or a pretty big mistake.

If he is tag-ish with a small vpip/pfr gap, say 12/10 or so, then you are value towning yourself to c/r the turn, as he is never calling you with a hand you beat other than maybe the combos of QQ and such that he didn't 3 bet pre.

This is a good spot to just bet the turn, reevaluating (folding sometimes and calling sometimes) when he ships over top of you. He has a lot of hands that can call a double barrel, but not much you beat that can call the crai.

OTOH, if he is on the laggy side, and might bet and then call your shove with A6, 66, 99-JJ, etc., then this is a well-played hand, imo.

The key here is analyzing the percentage of his cold calling range that is purely set mining hands here, because this board just keeps hitting a set mining range.

Is villain ever calling the flop bet with 88, 44 or other PP that missed pretty hard if he is a set mining nit? A set mining nit might call 1 barrel with a weak overpair (88 that hits the turn) but even that is a likely fold, right?
