Why didn't I log off when I knew I was on tilt.

Sorry, that's all in the budget for tonight.

Do you guys have a problem with full tilt crashing every time you close out the program? Not a big deal, since it's primarily when I close it, but it's kind of weird.

No

ftops ME is down to the final table
12-21-2009 , 10:21 AM
Apparently they made a deal among the final four to split all but $6k of the remaining money which will go to whoever wins among the last two. But the $6k is pretty meager compared to the money they have promised.

what level are you staked for? 100nl correct?

out of curiosity, what is your backer's reason for not wanting you on the ante tables. they are very juicy imo.

I use a logitech G5 at the max DPI setting -- takes a while to get used to but once you do it makes things a lot easier on your wrist. Can also recommend highly the MX518 if you can find a good one. Basically any of the corded gaming mice will be good.

In other news, Table Ninja is the ***** nuts.

does what it says on the tin, or whatever the expression is.

also, seems most here want you to use a xxxHandlexxx format when asking questions like these. just to give you the heads up. it's so the fish can't find his or her name via google searches and the like

Yeah, I see your point. But the mini-ftops and esp the ME have a realy good strucutre so it is more then a deep stack cash game and not the normal crap shot.

And even a min cash of $80 after ~4.5hrs would have give me a hrly rate of ~$18.

+1 for the Logitech TrackMan Wheel

Yeah he moved me up to 100nl last month. He probably wouldn't mind if I played, it is just that we were doing a HH review one time and I was spewing all over the place on an ante table and he said I should probably steer away from those. No biggie though.

Jeez, watch me get pwned here. As far as the hand goes, I know, I defy the holy book of ABC tag poker, I should have bet/bet/shove (because 12/6s always call 3 streets with 3rd pair here ). But some of the responses were a bit over the top. I'm up like 127 BI in 200k hands at 50nl but apparently I need to move down to 10nl. One day I hope to be a poster in the SSNL FR forum so I can tell people to move to 10nl. It should do wonders for my ego.

They do tend to be harsh in the way they phrase their criticisms up in SSFR.

That said, I agree with the substance of most of the comments. I was kind of intrigued by jasons arguing for an initial bet on the turn. IME, people are more likely to call flop and river than they are turn and river.

With players like this, whose range you know you have crushed, consider changing your bet size, rather than whether you bet. If he calls a half pot bet (for example) with 2 outs, this is a giant mistake. And he WILL call a 1/2 pot bet more often than a standard c-bet.

The problem with the line you took is that you can get a maximum of one street of value. I'm not saying you are likely to get more; you are not. I am saying that with your line you self-imposed a limit of one street, and there is no good reason for you to do that.

On the flop, people tend to make more mistakes because the pot is small. On the river, people tend to make more mistakes because there is no hammer. My feeling is that people play the most correctly on the turn. On a non-drawy board, I tend to make pretty small turn bets if at all to keep them in the hand.

A while ago a friend chastised my leak of rarely playing for stacks preflop with AK. I've been getting it in pre deep against AK so often the past few weeks, I'm starting to think that my friend is totally right.

I am working on that transition. I have no problem getting it in for 100bb now, as long as the villain isn't an uber nit, but I still turn into a little girl when stacks get over 150bb.

A+ girls in the ssnl thread. At least I got something for my donation now. What % of your downswing recovery did I account for personally? LOL, had to log off shortly after our last hand. Glad I did. I didn't go into steaming tilt, just FML I click call a lot now tilt.

This might be correct, but I really think it is the wrong way of looking at it. With your perspective, I would be limiting myself to two streets, so I should be betting flop, turn, and river - that way I can have a chance at three streets.

So why should we forfeit our chance at more streets of value? Because by doing so, we are increasing the chance we get a smaller amount.

mpethy: Let's say you are in villains shoes, and you have 66. I check the flop, and I bet the turn. Are you going to call the turn bet oop, and then call a river bet? Be honest.
