Re: ***Official 2009 Micro Stakes FR Full Tilt Regulars Thread***

What do they need to raise the minimum buy in to to be effective? If they raise it to 30BB, will that do anything? Will SSers still be able to do their thing?

Edit: I'm not trying to sound critical, just curious.

I mean, it would def alter the gameplay.

Obv theres a huge equity difference in shoving over 3x -> 20x and 3x -> 30x. Like how annoying is it holding Aqo and bam 6%3b 20bb shoves over. Would be a lot different on both ends if it was 30bb or greater.

Seriously noob question but how can I add a christmas hat to a picture for my avatar if I was to choose a player? You guys just using photoshop and is there any other way?

Also having trouble uploading a new avatar for my profile. Not exactly sure how to fix it or what to use to fix it. What do you guys use to resize your profile pictures? Thought the uploader would do it itself but I am having no luck.

30bb-s should be well enough to get the SS'ers to GTFO. That said, I still expect it to become 40+

But people still want to pay me off. I think I'll just stick with this style.

Also, last night, I got berated by a guy. I had AK with A high on a 3 flush board. The pot was like $3 and villain had like $2.50 left. So I shoved in my stack. He then called me an idiot for shoving my whole stack in with TPTK on a 3 flush board. I tried to explain to him that I wasn't really shoving my entire stack since I was only putting $2.50 at risk. He just wouldn't have it and kept insisting that I put my ENTIRE stack at risk..
If someone berates me I just say that I'm lucky, or that I got lucky.

By the way, the frequency that you get paid off with your monsters is why you should NEVER slow play. When I coach new players, I always tell them that villains are always going to put you on AK, so when you flop the nuts, you should almost always be cbetting unless the villain is GUARANTEED to do your betting.

Oh. And just a reminder never to go broke without the nuts in a limped multiway pot... especially against an overbet and someone in the blind who wakes up...

Full Tilt Poker $0.50/$1 No Limit Hold'em - 8 players
MP2: $50.20
CO: $131.50
BTN: $200.00
SB: $127.30
BB: $199.00
Hero (UTG): $242.10
UTG+1: $113.40
MP1: $182.55

Pre Flop: ($1.50) Hero is UTG with 4 4
Hero calls $1, 3 folds, CO calls $1, 1 fold, SB calls $0.50, BB checks

Flop: ($4.00) T 8 3 (4 players)
SB checks, BB checks, Hero checks, CO checks

Turn: ($4.00) 7 (4 players)
SB checks, BB checks, Hero checks, CO checks

River: ($4.00) A (4 players)
SB checks, BB bets $6, Hero folds, CO raises to $14, SB folds, BB raises to $130, CO calls $116

Final Pot: $264.00
CO mucks Q J
BB shows K 6 (a flush, Ace high)

Anyone know of a video that deals with HOW TO PLAY AQ OOP FOR NITS

Full Tilt Poker $0.50/$1 No Limit Hold'em - 9 players
UTG+1: $80.25
UTG+2: $100.00
MP1: $202.20

Hero (SB): $210.45
BB: $200.00
UTG: $49.40

Pre Flop: ($1.50) Hero is SB with Q A
2 folds, UTG+2 raises to $4, 3 folds, BTN calls $4, 2 folds

Flop: ($9.50) T K A (2 players)
UTG+2 checks, BTN bets $7, UTG+2 folds

Final Pot: $9.50
BTN wins $9.05

ofc 40bb would be better, but srsly il take what I can get. Obv there will be optimal 30bb SS play as well, hopefully its just a less annoying. And fishies doubling to 60bb will be a lot nicer than doubling to 40bb .

He is such a luckbox.

20-30cm? I would like to visit Schweden somewhen but obv not in winter

And everything other then 50bb min table would be just a slap in our faces IMO.

If they do just an increasment to 30-40bb I want 16BB/100 days like today at least 20 days per month

If by "open to discussion" you mean "there is not scientific consensus on the general general principle that human activity is causing climate change" then no, it is not open to discussion.

There are people who say that evolution is bogus and the dinosaurs roamed the earth when Jesus was alive. That fact that somebody can be found to hold a wacky view on an issue (evolution, carbon dating and the age of the earth) does not make the issue "open to discussion".

Anthropogenic climate change is only slightly more open to discussion than the idea that smoking tobacco is carcinogenic. The tobacco issue is a good analog because, like climate change, vested interests spent millions of dollars on propaganda to manufacture "lack of consensus" on the issue of tobacco links to cancer and other illnesses.

It is not that the scientific method discourages questioning. It does not discourage this. It is just that there is a big difference between real, disinterested disagreement and manufactured disagreement.

If you want to be depressed, google around about how many coal mine fires have been burning for years because they are too hard (i.e. expensive) to extinguish.

Centralia Pennsylvania, still burning.

China's coal mine fires

What I meant to say is, I did not personally check the scientific evidence, and apparently there are people in this forum who fervently reject the idea of anthopogenic global warming. I'm not one of them, but I didn't want to start another discussion with them (Edit: since I didn't feel prepared for it).
