Up 10k in December. Lost 3k tonight. The entire mid/high stakes forum hates me. I don't have a clue why. I miss the micro stakes forum. I post here

everytime I look at your PTR graph I am amazed....like you don't have a crap ton of hands at any one level, but you are beating them all at a good pace, but the majority of your $$$$ comes from sick shots at high levels where you KILLED it for a short time.
I have no idea what to make of it.

Yea pls teach me to run so sick good IFS

But srsly I just had a look at your PTR graph and it just amazed me. Besides the downswing at the begin of November your graph just goes to the rough regardless how high you play.

Without seeing said graph, I imagine its a combination of scared money, bum hinting, and hit and running. Or he could just be a skilled shot taker.

Check out my friend's old BBV thread with his HU graph. 100+ BI below EV

Obviously, he's an outlier, pretty crazy though.

Question: Say when ever you move up a limit, you start with "0" hands on everyone. How much datamining is needed to be done in order to get a decent sample on opponets with HEM? Because i imagine that having limited data is pretty useless. What does everyone here do when moving up a new stake level?

nsoshnikov, we just went over this with you. Stop playing so scared. Just start playing hands. Their vpip/pfr will converge fast enough for you to get a decent idea of their playing style. You're not going to get better by relying on others to give you information, either (unethically, as well). You will also run into plenty of players from your DB who are playing both your old stake and new one, too.

It's just not having a decent sample size that can lead to wrong plays against certain opponents is what worries me. How many hands do you need to have on a player to fully use HEM to your advantage to make your play against those opponents?

The Gunslinger: I have my 30k hands at my level, but i have 0 hands on most of my opponents. I don't receive any info unethically or w/e you say. I was just asking questions before.

They don't have any hands on you either. Everyone just has to do the best they can with what they have to work with.

You need 50 hands to get a good preflop read When I use my scanner to look for high VPIP players, I set the minimum to 50 hands. When I set it to look for aggro postflop players, I set it to 500 hands.

Just pay attention. Poker predates the HUD by a loooooong time.

getting raked every hand at 50nl hu is brutal. husngs offer a little better value imo at that level.

they have mixed limit HU at the uber micros, i was playing some dude HU at .05/.1 big bets FLH and i want to say .02/.05 NLH tho i'm not sure (was just ****ing around trying to set up my HUD at first but then i started getting competitive and wanted to stack this guy for his $10 more than anything, lol). in any case the rake was so ridiculous i can't imagine it would be terribly profitable
