HU is way more rigged than FR. How is it going? Winrates can be pretty sick though.

Well, there are two ways to look at it.

1. Yes, but the rule is only ever enforced where the person with abuses the posting guidelines on one of the accounts so badly that both accounts are sanctioned. So, for example, if you get banned on your main account, any mod who realizes you are posting on a gimmick is free to ban the gimmick for posting in their forum. Similarly, if you create a gimmick to troll another user, I will perma-ban the gimmicjk and temp-ban the main account.

2. No, there is no rule against it, but everything I said in number one constrains the way you can use the two accounts.

It depends on which you consider the rule and which you consider the exception to the rule.

The Internet Poker thread by FTPOug was almost certainly deleted simply because it was a level, and that forum is for discussion of srs biz.

Rocking the sin wave at the moment (A=5 BI), decently below EV (standard), but haven't played very many hands. The game is high variance but this is mitigated by a greatly increased edge. I feel that I have a good grasp the game, but I'm still quite new to it and have a lot to learn. Already love it though. The beauty of HU is that you don't have to wait around hoping to get into good spots with fish - you sit with the fish and play them every hand, and can actually adjust to their specific tendencies and leaks. I'm looking forward to exam week being over so I can get on the grind with my poker pals back home and get some real volume and experience.

Yeah, I have an interest in learning HU. Last time I tried I got soul crushed by some donks. It was terrible lol. 10BI in 2 sessions. I decided to focus on FR until I get to 200 but eventually plan on going back.

GL, keep me updated on how it's going.

I played a HU match once with a fish who is really predictable. Will take any pair to the felt and will c/f anything worse. It was still a rush. I'm sure it's hard to get hands in since it's tough I had to quit all my FR tables to focus on the HU. (It was actually a FR table, but no one was joining. I just sat down because of this particular opponent)

I took a peek at the HU 2+2 forum. It doesn't seem to be that useful. I was thinking about getting into it since full tilt starts having them at 50NL, I believe. Although I think I'd probably have to be a lot nittier with my BR if I were to play HU.

OMGYES! The swings are unreal even if you are a good player. I would wait until 5k BR at least to play 50nl HU. I really wish they had lower HU limits for us to cut our teeth on.

apparently this will never happen because of the rake. It gets brought up and shot down in pretty much every FT answers thread.

Didn't think of that. Yeah, I guess the fish might go broke too fast. I think the edge against bad players could offset the rake pretty well for the good players though.

In the short time I've been posting there, I have the same impression. Some days there is more bickering between regs on who hit-n-run them this week and who's sitting out on the good tables on PokerStars than there is discussion of strategy. There are a few standout good posters, but nothing like you see in this forum. It's understandable as many of the posters there play one another on a regular basis and have a much more direct vested interest in maximizing their edges against one another, but it doesn't make for a great learning environment.

The general consensus in the forum is that an aggressive bankroll size is 35 BI, a standard bankroll size is 50 BI, and a conservative bankroll size is 75 BI, and I'd imagine that 50NL is weak enough to play on the aggressive side safely.

The flop I as "considering it", but didn't think he had a King in his range that he would play like this..most of the time these guys like to play backwards.

Yeah, 5k may be mega conservative, but when you are learning the swings are big and 10BI out of 35BI feels painful to me....

+1

The donkey or ass, Equus africanus asinus, is a domesticated member of the Equidae or horse family, and an odd-toed ungulate. Google'd your handle obv.

It is just magic how I increase a normal "downswing" with bad play.

Today was just another embarrassment this month. Why can I not put my s*** toghter and start to beat that game....

You were on the table?

Yea was a brutal hand.

At one point in my session HEM showed -6BI for the day. Then I got 3 streets value with Top Set vs rivered two pair (thanks to my spewy table image I guess lol). A few hands later I got set over set for 200BI which cut my looses to 3BI.

But I could be break even for the day wich throws me just off atm.

And this guy is just a a** h*** to tank before he 3bet me on that turn....

I'm serious. I think IFS Pooh-Bah post would be both interesting and entertaining. IFS is crazy and his results are crazy good - an enviable combination.
