I have him 12/8 over 6k hands (all NL25) with +4.1BB/100.

Like other said he is pretty straight forward.

You know one of them had that feeling of, "With all this action how can my QQ be good??? But look at that pot and I haz me an over pair! SHOVE!!!"

There is a different feeling of: When you know you're crushed - you're virtually certain you're crushed. When you know you're way ahead - you only think about being run down.

I like it, there is plenty of 2-pair hands in his range he will call with. But I don't think he had the K, he would raise that imo.

yea he's an idiot for putting his stack in with an overpair in that spot, but i am just saying that i am sure it was pretty gutting for him to find out that he didn't even have outs lol

no, but I have some time free right now, so maybe I'll take a look and post a TR.

Well, it's Friday, my boss is out of the lab for a few hours, I was planning to spend the day working on a seminar, but that's been cancelled, and I live a few minutes away from home walking.

What should I do?

Spend 1/3 of the time you were planning on the seminar, spend the rest at home grinding.

although he is competent, no doubt, he's harldy inspiring. try 3betting him more frequently (and more lightly) in position preflop and applying some pressure poftflop, too, in good spots. though he's decent, he's very straight forward.
Yummy - I am ***SaberTJ*** on FT and I only play NL.

I am running into the villain at deep 25NL tables. He calls me OOP with weak hands at times, and it always seems when I try and keep the pot small with one pair hands he catches up on the river with some funky straight or backdoor flush. Maybe he's just got me playing scared against him. But I agree he is straightforward. Every time he's bet the river he's had me beat.

I looked at Holdem vision. It seems pretty cool, but we have been doing the same thing off the players tab here in uFR for a while now. We couldn't make the super cool looking graphs and scatter plots, but we have been pulling out all the same info.

I also looked at Leak Buster, which appears to be a lol-bad effort to get everybody to play the same 18/15/3 style of poker.
12-11-2009 , 03:18 PM
One interesting thing I did see in Hold em vision: Nits <13/10 have the highest proportion of winning players. Nits rule, Lags drool, imo.
12-11-2009 , 03:23 PM
haha i know you are kidding mpethy, but that's kinda obvious
the baddest players around aren't playing tight, but loose

I'll probably never get to the point of where I need to "tweak" my game for that last bit of EV or .25 of a BB LOL. If I could just maintain a solid ABC winning game over a long run I'd be content. A hammer, screwdriver and wrench set gets a lot built. The multi-tool, reversible, power ratchet with adjustable torque settings usually gather dust.

out of that 13/10, I wonder what % of hands raised are from the HJ -> BTN?

this is true. 13/10 or tighter folks will have the highest precentage of winning players because they will naturally have card strength in their favor...the wider you are the more skill you need to win. B/C few people will actually have the skill, most players wider than that will be losers, but a select few will be big winners.
