my current roll I built from FTP points. In January 2008 I was slightly positive overall, then got sick of poker withdrew after some horrible play by myself and was around BE lifetime. Then I decided to build my roll up with my FTP points, basically playing FTP for $26 tokens then playing some 90 Man SNGs with those. Took a few down after about 2 weeks, then grinded 25NL with about $400.

but the uNL forum is the nuts..You don't have to leave just because you play a higher stakes game.

If you don't mind explaining, what changed about your play to move you from BE to 100NL reg?

studying, coaching, studying, working on my game.

Basically I really started to understand the importance of position, and how to use it. How to get more value out of nuts, good hands, thin value. What ranges I should bluff, flat for value..etc.

Referring to this awesome thread: http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/56...-player-89941/

I went form early stage of Milestone 1 to late stage milestone 1...Now I say I am in the middle of Milestone 2 with my eyes open to 3.

Great start after a crappy November despite getting my AA cracked by KK yet again.

At least you get to show a negative AI EV then! Instead of being the chump like me with KK all the time haha.

I need to play more donkaments in these pubs. Cashing in those is saving me that is.
Some old geezer doubled me up second hand, moved AI pf.. he had J7o, said it was his favourite hand. I confirmed it as a dangerous hand which I was fortunate to beat.

i was definitely picking on you a bit at 50nl just because I was positive you had no idea who I was and I was surprised to see you down at that level after being a reg in the small stakes forum.

But then again I'm a total muppet and grinding 25nl after getting crushed last month.

Unless we have played like 20k hands together or talk on AIM I cant remember regs for crap. Only people that always stick my head are some of the beast at midstakes and a few 200nl guys.

I will say that I kind of enjoy being picked on tbh. Actually I has a little story....

I dont mean for this to sound egotistic or w/e, just kind of an observation me and a poker buddy made. I was going over a few hands with him, one where a longterm 11/9 got it in super light vs me in a spot where Im almost never bluffing and of course was not in the hand we were going over and another hand where I was able to get three streets out of TPGK IP vs a 13/11. I was like man I dont get it, I mean maybe they dont understand ranges or something or maybe they just see stats or have seen my post on 2+2 and decide to look me up with the bottom of their range and obv I cant complain. He explained it to me in a way that made a lot of sense....

He said as much as regs dont like to play against a reg they consider decent these guys like to play hands with you, because they get to play real poker. They get to actually try and rep a hand or make a thin call or 4bet you light, etc. After thinking about that I thought it was a pretty cool result of my s/n being the same everywhere, making videos, and playing a looser aggressive style. Its like coming down to 50NL (that I hadnt played in a year in a half) made me enjoy poker all over again. I mean I know Im not a superstar and have never had a crazy high winrate but coming down to 50NL really has made me feel like a superstar and I think it will give me just the mental boost I need to make it to the top.

Sorry for rambling, just some stuff I had on my mind.....

lol, i know for a fact that there about 10k other hands that show that I suck. That hand actually does kind of the opposite, so I guess Ill say thanks?

I guess you calling me out like this makes you feel better about yourself? W/E make you happy, carry on.....

I'd actually like to have a good month that I run below EV. My luck at this game has just been inhuman. It's not fair for someone with my skills to be having my success.

Snugglez, still waiting for u to find where I bitched about a downswing without you taking something out of context
