Re: ***Official 2009 Micro Stakes FR Full Tilt Regulars Thread***

I kinda feel bad about this; I used CO chat to my advantage:

Full Tilt Poker $0.50/$1 Pot Limit Hold'em - 8 players
The Official 2+2 Hand Converter Powered By DeucesCracked.com

SB: $58.55
BB: $102.80
UTG: $75.60
UTG+1: $15.30
MP1: $19.95
Hero (MP2): $114.05
CO: $160.90
BTN: $100.00

Pre Flop: ($1.50) Hero is MP2 with Q Q
UTG raises to $2, 2 folds, Hero raises to $7.50, CO calls $7.50, 3 folds, UTG calls $5.50

Flop: ($24.00) 5 J T (3 players)
UTG checks, Hero requests TIME, Hero bets $14, CO says "dammit", CO says "JQ", CO says "tough fold here.", CO folds, UTG calls $14

Turn: ($52.00) T (2 players)
UTG checks, Hero checks

River: ($52.00) 4 (2 players)
UTG bets $52, Hero calls $52

Final Pot: $156.00
UTG shows 7 7 (two pair, Tens and Sevens)
Hero shows Q Q (two pair, Queens and Tens)
Hero wins $153.00
(Rake: $3.00)

CO was a fish - seemed like your typical live player - and I figured he was telling the truth. If he folded a jack, there are less JJ and JT combos, so villains polar bet on the river was slightly more weighted towards air.

Obviously I can't do anything about it, but I kinda feel bad for villain.

hmm i just received a 25$ "cash" deposit on ft with some odd transfer number. should i expect to keep this money or will ft zap it out of my account as quickly as it showed up?

i am not signed up for any promotions, the transfer was not from a player, and it just appeared 3 hours after my session on monday.

thoughts?

Luka, why would you feel at all badly about it?

FWIW Why would he play JT or JJ like that anyway? he'd be raising the draw heavy board IMO

Whats a decent earn rate for the quarters guys ?

I have a fairly smallish example on FTP ... probably around 20k hands ... just wondering what you would think was reasonable .. ?

I have no intentions of moving upto $50nl as my bankroll is way too small and im a bankroll nit / compulsive withdrawer type of person

hard to say. it is safe to say however that 20k is not a sufficient sample to determine your true winrate.
i say 3+ptbb/100 is probably good/beating it provided its over a large sample
just worry about improving and the winrate will follow.

Find some intent to move up imo! Unless you need the money, grow your bank roll for a while. 50 is not that much harder than 25. Plus, let's say you move up to 50 and end up moving back down... well then 25 will suddenly seem easier. I played a few sessions of 25 when I has having a DS at 50 and I LOL'd at how I used to think 25 was hard.

@ Enty: It might still be rigged, but you are still getting it in good.

Take it from a chronic withdrawer (lol count it), play less tables, get better, and make one of your goals moving up.

My thoughts exactly!!!

But EN, if you are rolled for 100, mix some in on the weekends. Seriously. Just make sure you have a reason to be at the table, i.e... a drooler. While trying to win the droolers stack, you will be tangling with better regs who will be looking to exploit you, uncovering more of your leaks and forcing you to play better -> faster progress. I don't mind mixing limits in a single sesh, so if that tilts you it will be a bit harder.

My progressions has gone like this so far:

Mix in 100 on weekends.
Mix in a couple 100 tables all the time.
Table select (read bum hunt) between 50 and 100, without paying any attention to the proportions.
Finally grow a pair and play 100 exclusively. If there are absolutely no good 100 tables running or my BR drops below 40 BI I will mix in 50 again.

After this, 50 absolutely feels easier and the big 50 pots don't phase me in the slightest anymore. So the added benefit is that I can move down to 50 and feel good if my confidence @ 100 gets soul crushed.

So anyway I definitely recommend everyone, replace limit x and x+1 with your personal situation and go for it.

********** EDIT: Before I encourage anybody to bust their roll, make sure you have very strict BRM and absolutely stick to it.

Like: If I'm above $XX I mix in YY level, but I will stop if my BR drops to $ZZ.

Big thanks to the regular posters on this thread for the rake-back advice! From the time I contacted Full Tilt (and rakebackpros) it took about 7 days to start earning.

small-mid pairs in SB... i'm swaying between 3b and flat against ATS from 19/13, ft3b 53%, ATS 48% (55% BTN; 37% CO; 60% SB). i'm playing super-azzed nitty though today on regfested DS 50nl. being card dead isn't helping.

thoughts?

Hmmmmmmmm.... that's interesting. His range is wide... so set mining against a wide range is bad. But he doesn't fold to a 3 bets THAT much, so 3betting as a bluff is kinda meh. Low pocket pairs can't really be 3bet for value....

Head asplode
