Been up and down today. As high as 1BI and as low as -2BI. Right now I'm down 3bb. My red and blue lines are opposite equals, haha.

wanna thank the regs who left the shorthanded table with the 200bb deep fish who never folded to a 3bet regardless of the size. I appreciate it.

Im conquering my tilt demons .....

Played roughly 2k hands last night without hitting a damn thing and throw in a couple of nasty hands ... mix it all together .... and no response from me at all .... not even a comment in the chat box ..

Thats the second day running ive not reacted to a bad session or two ..

I know its not many hands ... but progress is progress ..

Ive been trying to control my tilt demons for a couple of years now ... maybe im finally getting somewhere ..

Yay, up half a buyin for the month! 3/4 if you count the rakeback I generated today. 1.5 if you count the RB I'll be getting later today.

congrats on that. it's so important.

ive been concentrating on that more than anything lately (with mixed results). i certainly dont get as angry as i used to, or as quickly, and it lasts for a shorter duration when i do.

total emotional control - it's like the holy grail of poker.

It sure is ... something thats been beyond me for so long ...playing each individual hand on its merits is just so important ... whats happened with previous hands should not affect your decision in the current hand ..

It sounds so easy .. but master this concept .. and poker would really be much more enjoyable at times ..

Lets see what today brings ..

Re: ***Official 2009 Micro Stakes FR Full Tilt Regulars Thread***

Hey everyone, do you guys have any general guidelines for pushing short-stackers all in pre-flop to take away their edge? If you're figuring a short-stacker raises 3-4x the bb with a coin-flip type hand that you just know he's going to go with... how good a hand do you need to put him all-in?

I guess my real question is, if you only stand to win 20 big blinds in that spot, minus the rake, do you need a premium pair to make this play in order to be EV+? AA, KK, QQ?

Thanks (ss-ers driving me nuts!)

try downloading pokerstove and looking at your equity vs the ranges that they are opening. If your equity > 50 you call other wise you fold. In general this is going to be 99+ aq+ vs most lp ss opens.
