poo-flinging, most of that forum seems to be super mal-adjusted to the real world.

Makes me never want to take poker seriously...fundamental attribution error? (Can a psych person tell me if Iim using the right term, because i'll be super pumped if I did it right)

Thanks for the replies, I was just wondering if there might be any other way. So I'll just do the bonus and e-mail the rakeback guys when I transfer the 600$ to FTP.

Here is another example of the fundamental attribution error personally in my life.

In my first two years of college there was a student, he had long hair, he was wearing a black trench coat all the time and would never take off his sunglasses even indoors. Very few people would socialize with him. Even though I first saw him as weird, I thought the people in the class were jerks for not socializing with him. I gave him rides home because he didn’t have a car. We kind of became school buddies and after I got to know him, in my opinion he was the coolest guy in the class. When looking at the Fundamental Attribution I don’t think the other people in the class were jerks. I see that social influence pressured them not to associate with people who didn’t look like them, who were not part of their “norm”. It wasn’t cool for them to associate with someone who looked like they just walked of a Jerry Springer show.

LOL. No suggestion of causality. Malcontents tend to be the most vocal. Look at a guy like Phidelt. Was just reading his well. Seems like he's pretty good and also seems pretty grounded. Egos are a fragile thing.

yeah, here at the micros, there is more of a "we are in this together..hey look at johnny nail that..awesome"

At the SSNL, (excluding the good poster), the general thought is "I am making money, I am good at poker and if you haven't taken the same path as me, you are a ****ing donkey....you know nothing kid".

Sammy, disregard my posts today. I am really tired. Woke up at 7am to play a HUSNG match that I could not play and its 2AM now (nearly) so I am indeed very tired... so I misclick a lot. Thankfully I am done with my session for today (Surprisingly a good one)... my only excuse is that I put in your multi-tabling reply in there for Shania and Meta-Game pruposes. Enjoy.

Good Night everyone and see you soon

LOL, I feel tired too and I have slept since that attempted match. Although I did stay up too late b/c somehow there were decent 100nl fishies for a Tues. Get some sleep man.

if this has been linked to already, apologies.

E:60 Phil Ivey

i've been an Ivey fan pre:Moneymaker beat and since you're all talking about SSNL thread going epeen, i'd find it humorous as to what Ivey would think of that cr@p. he's no hellmuth, matusow, or DN always trying to garner the spotlight. he just plays his game, leads his life. nice to emulate.

I think a lot of Helmuth and DN's talk is part of their strategy to tilt opponents, albeit in opposite ways. I know DN could charm me into showing my hole cards far too often.

But yeah, I like Ivey. Kind of cold, but he's just out there to play poker.

Yea people are nicer in the micro thread and aren't constantly looking for reasons to hate/flame. Even get better poker discussion here.

Re: ***Official 2009 Micro Stakes FR Full Tilt Regulars Thread***

I'll step in and defend the FTP SSNL reg thread because I actually like a lot of the guise that post in there: ie. Ricky, Lacie, viz, jasons, neg, Ren, TONZ, **********, DamnRinger, hard2tel, even les when he isn't on crack.....

IMS is probably not a bad dude, but he needs to quit telling people to check his PTR report until he builds a sufficient hand sample. The constant need to talk about one's WR is not something that professional poker players do. He does tend to talk about himself and his results too much, but it's probably because he's a young dude and gets excited easy.

While some guise are definitely jealous of his brief success many of the guise could care less. Check out some of the graphs the better players post every month..... trust me they ain't worried.

fwiw, I think the uNL forum at times is at times too accepting of wackos. I mean that trapz guy was around here way too long. I'm convinced he's probably a sociopath and the stuff he posted about CMAR just blew my mind.
