I tried to avoid some of the marginal spots with some of the guys that seemed to be regulars until i had a better grasp of their games so i didnt put myself in too many tough spots. That said there were still a lot of donks there that were donating $, but also a lot of people that were 22/18 whereas at 50 those type of people run like 17/14 so it seems that some of the regs have just incorporated a few more hands into their opening range

Good luck if you are still grinding the hundo.
There will be no prop bets sir, ive got a road trip planned with a friend from England for the first two weeks in November that i still need to grind a little money for so i wont be up to $100 permanently until at least mid - November.

That said im happy to just grind out my little bit of $ at $50 and be done with it so i might not make the jump up there at all.

Yeah pretty close, things have been a little hectic with my brothers wedding being this weekend and lots of family from England here so i have not had a whole lot of time to grind. Should play now but after the bachelor party last night my head is a little fuzzy so no point donking money off atm

I would consider this a beat and in the win column personally. You got a soul crushing beat out with only a 20bb loss. WIN IMO.
10-30-2009 , 04:32 PM
And think if you had won. You'd have gotten quads and only won 20BB. Heck, I won more than that last night with AK high!

Your boy is playing on FTP now.

Good luckz to you all.

He has like 60% equity against your set on the flop, river is sick after hitting quads though

Edit: stoved it, it's 67%
10-30-2009 , 06:43 PM
Do you guys come across guys who are REALLY aggro? Like insane aggro? I've come across two in the last two days. Like guys who regularly open raise with 50BB and bet 3x the pot?

And can you tell me WHY THEY KEEP SUCKING OUT ON ME????

yeah i've stoved it as well and was 33% on the flop. KTs was 58% and the 67s was 9%. the turn made me 95+% with the 67s only 4+%.

i've posted some hands where i hit sets on monotone flops and the consensus is to get it in asap. hate to be results oriented, but this hand absolutely sucked as both villains flopped flushes! LOL

in hindsight tho, since getting stacks in with these types of hands (set v mono flops) i've come out ahead... hand was posted not for critiquing (which is always a plus imo) but for sheer irony/humor value. me hatez SSers.

It was a few months ago where I hit a set on a monotone board. I was last to act and I saw both of my opponents shoved the flop. I figured that one of them had to have a flush. Both had TPTK and ended up chopping with worse hands than I did.

CO had 80BB's, plus the add'l stacks that came along, fwiw. but thanks for the insight.

started a fiddy DS table and it cost me stack when villain shoves a Qxs vs. my set to river his straight... i'm not one to tilt, but playing hands that fast after having the set cracked really got to me... shut it down and got on some lists!

* actually only a half-stack as i was up on him for a bit...

Just curious if any FT Regs are interested in some sort of volume prop bet for next month...

I'm thinking something smallish (~100-200) but I could be convinced to do more. I'm just looking to stay motivated through next month because I will be working full-time and want to maintain my volume.

I'd be looking for 75K-100K hands... around there...

FULL DISCLOSURE: I cleared 100K hands this month with a positive win rate (obv brag)...

Let me know ITT or PM.

Cheers,
~gtp
10-30-2009 , 09:38 PM
I'd def be interested in a volume prop. The only thing is, my best month is like 52k hands... I'd be game for like a 75k prop, and probably be almost dead money.
10-30-2009 , 10:02 PM
i could be down for a prop bet, though i'm more like luka. 75k is probably more realistic for me. i'm going to get to 50k for the first time this month.

pardon my ignorance, but i'm guessing standard volume bet - you set a number and if both people fail or go over it's a wash.
