Anyone else notice the 10NL tables last night completely filled with 20-30BB stacks (8 or 9 players)? VPIP's were naturally 30+ but it was hard to find anyone on those playing with more than $4.

Meh, same on 25NL... all those damn shortstacks and believe it's the same at 50NL.

I'm happy when I sit on a table with more then 2 or 3 fullstracks. Sure, play deepstacked tables but then you're usually playing against more regs (and the seats don't become available as often).

50NL tables sucked ass last night, nearly impossible to get a good table.

I got good games yesterday at nl100. too bad about the 4BI under EV rig. Think I'll just go play vs some regs as I only seem to be near ev line vs them.

CONSPIRACyy1!

Yeah recently all the 10nl tables have been filled with shortstackers. I've started playing deep tables exclusively but just buying in 100bb, which seems to be working out fine..

people who call 4bets are always terrible thats my new theorem

You guys do realize that no good shortstacker would sit at a table entirely filled with shortstackers, right? Therefore a table full of shortstackers is a table full of bad shortstackers. [edit--I suppose a good shortstacker could make money at a table of full of shorties, but he'd much rather be at a table of deeper stacks so that he can use the advantage of the difference in stack sizes much better.] I think at 50NL you see some good shortstackers but the vast majority of 10NL/25NL ones are just scared players who don't want to lose their whole bankroll at once. Yes, the shorties make it hard to be a set-mining nit, which is what a lot of us essentially are, but getting all outraged over the bad ones is a waste of time IMO.

Well, atleast the shortstackers are often bad as well... limp/folding etc. But still, hella annoying.

They lessen the amount of money you can win, there are always 2 or 3 who understand folding equity which makes some hands harder (well, more risky) to play, etc.

I agree they can be easy money as well, but it's not as if shortstackers have a choice of sitting with fullstackers, every table is damn ridden with shortstackers! If they could sit with enouhg fullstackers, so could the fullstackers themselves :P

They are just damn annoying... Getting their stack always makes up for it though.

My theory is they always have exactly AA, KK, or QQ. The first because they are afraid if they pushover, you will fold. The latter two (as silly as it is) because they wanna see if the flop hits them.

25NL didn't seem nearly as bad... I just hopped up there and donated 2 buy-ins to non-shortstackers... least I could do.

I dont know why this hand puzzles you so much, you checked he bet. On the flop you basically have to ship it and hope for FE or to be up against AK or AQ or fold. Its not a tough spot you just put yourself in a tough spot. Just because there is no A or K do you not expect a bet to be put in?
10-21-2009 , 05:48 PM
yeah, 4 betting pf and just trying to hit a pair seems -ev
10-21-2009 , 05:49 PM
I think check giving up here is fine, CO has TT - QQ so much here and is certainly not folding post flop as he got the no A or K flop he was hoping for. Jamming this flop is bad imo

Also he still has 95bbs behind so he cant jam anyway so he is forced to bet turn for like 50bbs and that just puts us in a FML spot

Let it be known im not crazy about the cold 4bet oop with AK here but i dont know stats so its unfair to beat on it too much

This month has just been cyclical of me running goot at 5NL and then just losing it all back at 10NL. I think I'm just going to have to get used to the fact that my opponents aren't going to let me see cheap flops anymore. Those jerks!
10-21-2009 , 06:16 PM
given that UTG+2 is a half stack I think the 4bet is fine

looks like a pretty easy c/f on flop though

Really weird thing happen.

I had a question about my stars account. So I email them, and they responded with useful information, plus additional information that could be helpful, then told me not to hesitate if I had any problems....strange.
10-21-2009 , 07:53 PM
I should try that with full tilt. They keep depositing money into my account. I found out why they did it yesterday, but no idea why they did it today.

Hey Ftp arent that bad, I mailed to have my chat self banned and they replied commending me on my valiant and responsible attitude towards my chat priviliges.
