Oh, regs can be great fish if you know how to exploit them. If you want to improve your red line, do it against a 15/12 player.
Do they check call with two of a suit on the board? Check the turn and if the suit doesn't come through on the river and villain checks into you, then bet with anything.
Does he bet, bet and then check when the third of a suit comes? Bet big and take the pot.
Most regs are pretty bad at playing the turn and river. They are really passive with their draws, they are always scared of possible draws on the board, they will instantly let you know if they have something better than one pair. Their play is so predictable and they are so scared of everything. They won't spew chips (unless tilting), but they will give up pot after pot after pot after pot. During a session yesterday, I think I won like 50BB off a single opponent who was sitting to my right at two tables. Every time he entered a pot, I would call with just about any two cards. I never won a particularly big pot, but I won a lot of little ones.
It's great to be able to exploit little edges like this. It really helps alleviate the bad beats.
