Here is my October garph. Just been reloading my BR after a failed attempt at 10NL. I've been working on some my bluffing technique and value betting thin in an attempt to improve my redline.

I think it's been paying off. Small sample, but a pretty decent winrate of about 7BB/100. Blue line and red line are about even.

The funny thing is that I didn't even notice the upward slope of this graph until just now when I decided to look at it. Each session can be really swingy. I've got a very deep BR for the limits I play, so I hardly ever look at my cashier.

I do believe the metagame is more prevalent than you might think at the micros. My last session, I had someone call me down for two streets with air and a measly second pair on the river. Not too good against my boat. As he was thinking on whether to call my river value bet, he said he was making the call since he no longer respected my raises. This makes sense since I had been hammering him mercilessly.

But redline poker is very fun!

don't bluff at 10NL, value bet.

Probably sat there for 15-20 minutes before someone joined. When McAvoy and I started tables the other day at 25NL, the table filled in just a minute or two.

Anyone else notice this?
Yea EN,

Me and mao were starting tables the other day and Vanguard's brother was helping us, we had to play 3 way for like 20 mins and I ended up taking a break and the table broke. Starting tables at 50 is pretty slow compared to the quarter. But sometimes they go good because I think mike started a bunch yesterday before I got there and the table selection has been better since us regs have been starting more deep tables.

Oh yea I forgot why I had the first quote quoted. I meant to say, you must have a low maintenance wife (good imo), forget about anniversary, take her out to dinner at the last minute, sexy time and go back to pokering / 2p2ing.

Anyone know if there is a mod out there to make a table window more noticable when it's your turn to act? Just got a new monitor, finding it hard sometimes to find tables when I select them on the taskbar (I tile).

wouldn't the pot make the tables play shallower? While stealing b/c waay more profitable, post flop I think they would play more like 3bet pots and we run up against commitment ranges pretty quickly.

i'm just settling into DS fiddy and am staying away from the ante tables until i get an understanding of the dynamics involved. i may sweat some tables and try to get a feel for them in the meantime.
10-09-2009 , 07:07 PM
wait, so you can play your first hand in LP at an ante table without posting BB?

no, you have to poast. I just tried it.
10-09-2009 , 07:25 PM
Oh ok. I was confused because it asks to post ante, but not the BB. It should be like it is when you miss the small and big blind (post small+big blind). Why would anyone choose to post the ante but not post the BB?
10-09-2009 , 07:45 PM
first time i've seen this thread, now its getting dark early i'm in proper grind mode.....
check this garph out for today, most of its 10nl some 25.....the fact i managed to stay tilt free is all down to Tommy Angelo....

but seriously......

today i've either been getting my premiums UTG or on the SB....

El Nino's gotta be one of the steadiest winners at the fiddy I've seen in the last year or so.

Only have 200ish hands but he seems very competent. Positionally aware, steals and 3bets in good spots with aggro stats overall. Haven't played any big hands yet, but I probably wouldn't take a seat to his direct right regardless.

Tried a few of the deep-ante tables this afternoon and they played pretty loose in general. Stealing seemed way less effective vs loose/fishy players than normal. Regs stole more but seemed to pot control and play fairly straight forward post flop. Very small sample size though, but I like em so far.

First it asks you to post the ante. Then it asks you to post the blind. If you choose not to, you get your ante back.

Right, so it is pay both or pay neither. Why would they make it two seperate decisions?
