Besides the arguments other had already presented deep tables are not always good tables. No point to take a seat at deep table when only a bunch of you guys are sitting there.

well then create some new ones.
I mean if there were 65% deep tables and the rest was only filled with shortstackers, we all know were the fish would end up.

edit also the addition of the deep icon (like in tourneys) was a real problem. It was way easier before (or maybe it was because I was at 10NL at that time) to get these Cable (deep) tables going, insofar fish would not even notice.

Can you please explain why you didn't raise the flop? If he has a hand like JJ-KK than any Q-A or any spade could kill your action on the turn

The problem is there isn't enough deep tables. Right now in the 50nl lobby, there are 67 tables and only 6 of them are deep tables. If full tilt changed the lobby to 50% min 50 bb BI tables, this would fix the SS probably immediately.

See my comments about there not being enough deep tables. But I agree that the icon is probably a scare to the fish. They should remove it and label the regular tables as short tables. That way it will make them want to buy in at the regular tables and not the panzy short tables.

My "plan" if you haven't read the thread (tho I thot I saw a post from you?)

C20-inf
S20-100
_50-100
D50-200

this gives everyone what they want. Think about it guys.....do you REALLY want the shorts to disappear? They provide a ton of income to FTP. That's a good thing as we will all benefit as FTP throws money into bonii, more (any) cust serv, better software etc.....

With the tables above, we fullstackers don't ever have to see a short again. THAT is a good thing.

The shorts get access to the 100BB fish. WTF do we care, as long as some of the fish float our way? I suspect the fish will gravitate to the 50-100BB tables as OUR NUMBER 1 FUTURE JOB IS TO GET THE WORD OUT. Tell the fish WHY 20-100 is harder to play..... we'll get our share.

Maybe in the micros you can shrug this off. At 100NL (certainly 200+), we usually have just one decent fish per table....sometimes less. Add a few shorts and it becomes clear that you have to play a less than optimal game.

That said i think that if you table select and move tables often enough you can certainly get some good tables going at all times of the day bar like 5am - 7am FT time. Those are horrible but most evenings the games are good.

It really borders on bumhunting....and getting lucky with your seat assignment. Ever try juggling ontop of a moving train? Try table selecting around the 10+ tables you are currently on.

Man, this game is tough.

that's not how table creation works

there is not a set number of regular and deep tables, new ones spawn as people create them and excess empty tables disappear

Then change it so it is that way. As it is now, fish will jump on a REGULAR table before a SCARY DEEP table. But if you make 50% of the tables 50 BB min, then it solves the problem, people are forced to play on them and then they will become juicier and then more people will want to play on them, and so on.

Re: ***Official 2009 Micro Stakes FR Full Tilt Regulars Thread***

you can't just fix the number of tables, any table system needs to adapt to different player volumes... it would be a huge failure if e.g. all the deep tables fill up and all the waitlists get 20 deep or there are too many empty tables so they all end up shorthanded

but... people are gonna be much happier to start (and join) 50-100bb tables than deep tables, especially if they become the "regular" tables instead of the scary "deep" ones

which is what we are campaigning for

I think his point is that its not up to FTP to fix the mix of tables running, its up to you. Cliff's: start deep tables.

Oh had no idea about that, cool.

Do we get free coaching ITT or what?

Edit: Oh that's why Rapid was at 25NL the other night, cool I might be in a vid.

Edit: Looking at the name, does that mean it's free, what's the catch?
