Re: ***Official 2009 Micro Stakes FR Full Tilt Regulars Thread***

ffs, is it just me or is FT become even more infested with SS than before? I sometimes see tables with 8 SS (although I have to say this makes me laugh) and finding a half decent table seems to become impossible. if this keeps on going I might need to change sites...I am wondering though what the reason for this sudden (perceived?) influx is.

ebay is fine for it, because you can find primaforce brand (super legit brand if you don't know, labtested and certified) so no reason to be leery.......

Yea there's clinical studies on piracetam. If it was bs then doctors wouldn't prescribe it. This isn't homeopathy..
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/sites/en...t=&query_key=1

and no I don't think you have ADD, it's more like you don't have ADD if you got those booster stim effects from it. racetams have been around since the 60s..
it even fixed my mild depression whereas serious ssri's never did. I will swear by it and I have tried pretty much everything. Different people different effects though. If I was going to go for RX med i'd only use modanfil though, don't like the stimulant properties of adderall & ritalin.. + there's taboo taking stuff that has a similar mechanism of action as crank.

Although I'm looking into getting some more potent racetams instead.. like oxiracetam. If you read up on it you will realize that it's legit. Studies and thousands of positive experiences. it's no snake oil.

I don't know why it isn't more widespread among poker players but hey.. if it gives me an edge then maybe i shouldnt share lol
imo people should try it before they try rx's with a lot of side effects..

I've been looking at this stuff for a while, but I've never pulled the trigger. I'm pretty sure I've been at least borderline ADD my entire life, but grew up in the generation before it was really recognized, so I've never been tested. I've always been able to get my work done, but I'm so easily distracted (both by outside influences and my own imagination) that it takes me much longer than it should to complete most tasks. The strange thing is that I have these weird periods of crazy mental focus, where it's like my brain is in overdrive and the world seems like it's moving in slow motion. My reading speeds during these times are insanely fast, and my comprehension is near 100%, and I'm able to crank out what would normally be hours of work in less than an hour.

Weird? Or is this normal for ADD?

I had the same, easily distracted.. losing focus. An overactive imaginative mind troubled by plenty of paranoia. Basically very fluctuating and random energy levels and mental focus. Never knew if I was going to be clear or foggy, but with piracetam I'm 100% all day without being in overdrive.. although sometimes I have ended up with some mild mania but I don't mind that because I have no downs. Mania is always fun, but tbh might've just been caused by extended good poker results. Sure they could be mild symptoms of ADD but it might also just be poor blood/oxygen flow in the brain. you should try piracetam google, read up on it. It's very cheap and without any side effects so, it's a better alternative before going on strong rx's. Just don't mix it with drink.

Sounds like the long term side effects of the reefer.

What were we talking about? j/k

Interesting... so far it looks like most of the literature action is based on it's use as an anti-seizure drug and for patients with cognitive impairment. Just got back from lunch and I haven't had any time to dig into anything.

But I do want to say this:

You should never consider any drug perfectly safe and yes you should consider over the counter "supplements" drugs. A long safety record and legitimate clinical use helps. I wouldn't even consider taking anything that doesn't have history and safety evaluations. Bottom line is that there is no drug as safe as... no drug.

Yes, walking outside is not safe (things may fall from aeroplanes). Alcohol is not safe. In risk comparison vs adderall and other stuff people are prepared to take it is safe.

It has been around since the 60s, a friend of mine has been taking it everyday for the past 20 years. While it's possible that my brain might just spontaneously combust in a year or two.. there have been no such recorded incidents.

The word safe is relative. One could argue that nothing at all is safe...
Water isn't safe, if you drink too much and death by hyponatremia is possible.

With all factors considered, piracetam is safe enough. Use your own judgement, do your own research. It may be benificial for you and your poker game, it may not.

Some personal accounts
http://www.erowid.org/experiences/su...iracetam.shtml

Either way, my profit for giving you this potentially helpful recommendation:
-0

I hate doing -EV things but I'm bored

Yeah, I agree, but for everybody reading, I wanted to stress that nothing should be considered completely safe. Including the real prescription big boys. True, there is always getting hit by a bus/meteor/fat chick on a bike, which trumps everything else.

Safety is relative. There is always the risk benefit analysis that must be conducted. If you are dying of cancer, drug safety isn't a huge concern, because, well you are going to die. If you are talking about something to focus slightly better while playing a game, risk is more of a concern.

Things that have been in use for decades in general >>>> things that are very new.

Are you in da science out of curiosity?

PS I would call this neutral EV unless I take it and then crush you at the tables with my newly found focus. Then it would be -EV

Haha it is potential -EV because it might put some people here in overdrive, they come to my tables and eat my soul and ravage my fish.

No, I just have a huge interest when it comes supplementation + chemical enhancement (not recreational). A friend of mine is a doctor, which helps. Of course I regard safety highly, this is why I do not take adderall/ritalin or modafinil. I even avoid caffeine which I feel has a ton of negative side effects in comparison to racetams. I've tried everything from anti depressants, dopamine/ne/serotnin precursors and stimulants. Of course under professional supervision.. racetams so far have been the best when it comes to positives vs negs (risk v reward). I have not experienced any negative effects and I'm quick to notice such things.

It is just that everyone speaks of powerful stimulants here when I think piracetam is superior all things considered.

Death by fatchick is my biggest concern so far lol.

Hey, I'm playing 5NL right now and I'm beating it very easily. The only real issue I have is complete idiot lags (60/40 people). I know I should just valuetown them when I hit but unfortunately if I fail to hit I want to outplay them. I've spewed like this twice and need to end it immediately. Is betting for value the only way to beat these players?

No. You can call for value too.

But do not try to "outplay" them.

Na I know, I just don't have any money except for on FTP. I'll figure something out.

Quick question because I am ******ed and suck at google. Is piracetam the brand of a medicine or is a type of medicine? Like Tylenol is a pain relief medicine... is piracetam the "Tylenol" or the "Pain relief medicine"? I'm confused because I see a lot of different bottles on the internet, and I think I get scammed more than anyone when it comes to internet stuff.

Thanks for any help.

Thought you were implying that I was just marketing and trying to sell the stuff.
I realize amazon have it too, I assume they are not scammers. Maybe you can pick up an amazon voucher..I forgot because I can't order from amazon (they dont ship to Ire).

This is a good brand for piracetam (which is a nootropic / smart drug):

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...pf_rd_i=507846

Should be noted that I also take choline with it.
