Do I think so, yes. Do I do it normally? No. Very easy for someone to show up with a scared ace. It's a big pot for NL25. Weak ace is scared to bet, but the way NL25 plays is super passive. They're not going to bet their hand, only call bets.

Yeah, but I don't think I would do it though... As said, weak A being scared won't bet but would call...

But I WOULD raise it pre. Calling invites the others to call as well and they didn't really show any strength so a raise would prolly get them out and leave you headsup with shorty. I don't like playing QQ 3+way :P

I thought about raising or shoving pf but I figured that only folds out the crap and leaves AA/KK. To be honest I wasn't expecting any calls once the shorty shoved. I didn't want to play QQ 3-ways either, but I figured that was better than giving all the weaker hands a super-easy fold.

As for the river, I'm sure Jx, TT, and 99 call, but a weak ace (or scared KK) is also very likely. That's why I didn't want to bet.

Re: ***Official 2009 Micro Stakes FR Full Tilt Regulars Thread***

so after watching a few poker vid's i decide to run through the hands i've marked the past week for review and note taking... now i taste vomit. when will i learn not to overplay OP's??? especially against other nits??? then there is the nasty-assed hand where i run AA into a moaran who 3b's me w/97o and then proceeds to call my 4b - only to hit his 2 pair on a K79 board for 100BB's??? wtf???

need to go brush my teeth and gargle *three* times with listerine now... i suck.

Re: ***Official 2009 Micro Stakes FR Full Tilt Regulars Thread***

I'm kinda wondering if the deep tables are worth it. I play some PL tables to partly get away from the shorties, but my WR lately at 25NL/PL is worse at PL (unfortunately I use Poker Copilot and it doesn't break down deep vs. regular tables). Most of the shorties are so horrible it doesn't really matter. Yes, you have to change your game a little bit, especially if you love to set-mine, but there's a narrow VPIP/PFR range a short-stacker has to fall into to be profitable, while a good full-stack player can be very loose or very tight and still profit. And while you can't win as much money at once from the shorties, it beats being at a table full of deep-stacked nits and 2+2ers. I still try to play a lot of deep and PL tables, but the number of good shorties is pretty small, at least at 25NL. I play a little bit of 50NL too and maybe they're a little better there, but shorties can be fish too.

I play at 10NL and I don't find the play much better at the deep tables than the short tables. Although I played about ten seconds of short before I decided that I just wasn't interested in playing with a bunch of people with ten BB.
