That's just good to hear, because we never got paid on a big hand, and the 4 times we got it in with overpair or TP it was no good. I was confused.

you run so bad, even the ones you are sweating run bad....geez....I got it in with 99 at NL100 for 140bb thinking I was probably a slight underdog against his range...he had 44. Of course the flop cam 4AX and I screamed in pain, until they ship the pot to me...X=9...

Re: ***Official 2009 Micro Stakes FR Full Tilt Regulars Thread***

One more reason to start deep tables. I don't playing HU, but if some of you do, just sit and say it, we will fold every button.

"I play NL50 full ring and start tables a lot. Since you guys don't do much about shorstackers, it is a struggle to get decent tables going.
A lot of regulars don't want to play HU to start tables. I would wonder if playing HU and folding every button would be considered as collusion if we play normally as soon as a third player join the game ?
I know for a fact that Pokerstars allows that for their 50BB max tables."

"Hello Sébastien,

Thank you for contacting Full Tilt Poker Support.

It would not be considered collusion if you are heads up to fold your button each time while you are waiting."

if it was few hours ago,it sounds reasonable insofar its mostly the time of korean and euronits (yeah they are regs at 2NL).
They are obviously super easy to exploit.

Yeah, the thing is that I'm just working on ABC fundamentals with this guy and don't want to confuse things by throwing "moves" in there.

Found myself staking/teaching someone irl at 2nl this week. Trying to prioritize the stuff you want to teach someone who has no idea about anything is actually quite difficult, and there's so much to learn. Any threads you've sent your stakee back to read Kurt?

Yeah i think i want a student now, it seems like a fun idea.
How do you go about finding a good student that is willing to put in the hard work. Surely giving some guy $40 for a 20 BI stake is not going to bother me even if he runs away but id rather see he/she accomplish something and be able to move up through the stakes

Help appreciated

Some of the COTW and guides, but TBH even those assume a basic knowledge level. I think sweating is best. And hand review. And I'm hoping he posts more strat in the forum, which is how I learned obv. I think I need to spend some time on basic poker maths too.

I'm kinda feeling it out myself.

Obv its not about the money. It would just be cool to seem someone start winning, you know?

lol, I expect he would have no lack of offers. I always assumed he was just a giant BR nit and only wanted to play on his own money.

There's always the Rider method.

The bustos all hang out in BBV and BBV4Life, so you can post there and interview people for someone who is serious.

Actually, now that I thin about it, I don't think they let you do that in BBV anymore.

Now there is a staking forum:
https://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/135/staking/

But you can't offer coaching there. And a coaching forum:
https://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/101/coaching-advice/

But you acn't offer coaching there unless you're approved my management.

Looks lik 2p2 does want to make it hard for what you want to do.

Yeah, I thought about sending the COTW posts but most of it is still too advanced. Basic maths are important though, need to talk about that but I think it's the kind of thing that's easiest to explain with a HH review.

If you really want to do this, maybe sign up for sweat sessions next month and ask ship_it_trebek to pair you with a 2nler, and make yourself available after for HHs or future sweats.

Keep up the pressure in this thread re: Shorts

If some of the recent email responses from FTP are to be believed, they are actually thinking of changes......

There was a Chinese guy at 2NL who would buy into like 15 tables for exactly 21BB. He would basically sit there, sit there, and then shove when he hit his preflop hand. It was insane. He either gains a few BB or loses it all. I always made sure to sit to his right. It was like having the button twice.

Although according to PTR, he hasn't played in over a month.

SS obv. stack off with anything. A lot LESS droolers at 5NL. If I can find ONE table with VPIP over 20 I am happy. 5NL is a lot nittier than 2NL.

FWIW I play at around 2pm ET.

I has only three requets for you guys:

1. Do not fold pre every time I get AA or KK,
2. Stop to defend your blinds so hard against me and
3. it would be nice if you could pay me off from time to time if I hit finally hit a damn set.

Thanks in advance
