Another big one was where I got it in with aces vs QTs. Person flopped his flush. There have been quite a few KKs and QQs running into AAs (my streak of KKs beating AAs seems to have come to an end)

But that AA losing to QT - man. I laughed at that for like five minutes. Either I've matured or have lost sanity.

Haha I think you need to do both to be successful imo.

Yeah, sounds like the big pots aren't too much of a problem - except for maybe overvaluing top pair, but that is villain dependent.

Take some time and check your play in small pots. It can add up a lot more than you think. For example, Cbetting a missed flop into too many loose passive opponents, bluffing idiots who can't fold, calling flop when you know you are going to fold to further aggression, etc. Always place to improve for virtually anyone.

Other than that, just grind it out.

Thanks, I appreciate the help. I think that top pair was more tilt than anything. I don't usually push too hard on top pair with such an easily dominated hand. I'm usually looking to hit something stronger.

And yes, bluffing is a huuuge leak of mine. Been trying to work on it. I need to stop watching Poker After Dark, haha.

Did the same yesterday, lost at 50NL and moved down to 25NL to build some confidence. Tables seemed pretty good tonight at 25NL, had a winning session. Most of it from a huge aggro fish who I stacked for 200bb. Don't know how much I made b/c I ain't looking at the cashier for a while. Just makes me chase losses to much.

gl at the quarter RB!

thanks.

This is my worst month ever as far as run bad (not results so much).

FT is fun actually, tables are faster and nice change of scenery. deep tables FTW.

Only thing is I find myself timing out more, like it is harder to notice that a table needs attention (only playing 6). Is there something i can change so i notice the tables more?

I know some used to mod the tables and change the color on the active player border around the player name to like red or something. Don't know if that works anymore after the FTP updates this summer though. Cards and table is still modable. Some use extra software that auto press time for you.

I had the same problem when I moved to FT. One thing that helped a lot was setting it so that your hole cards are full-sized, I think the default is the smaller cards which are harder to notice. Tables are faster though, so maybe cut down by 10-20% from what you played on stars.

I turned off window grouping on my taskbar at the bottom of my screen. It's very helpful, although I only 4-table. But when you see a menu item turn yellow, you know to click it.

i am at peace with this check... though my inner IFS wanted to jam this river and send our redline skyward, the calmer side prevailed to ship another day.

Do you use a custom mod? If so, does TN work with 100% efficiency?

I had some problems and dumped it, figuring a good mod is better for multitabling than TN.

There are a couple TableNinja compatable decks floating around if you are looking for street recognition. As far as the rest goes the only other thing I have seen be a problem is if you mod the buttons and slider. This could possibly throw some problems your way.

i have both shortcuts and TNFT... although i've used shortcuts for a long time, after the "upgrades" the developer couldn't seem to keep up with the changes and the software lacked... not putting bet amounts in the right place (in the chat box) and the flickering was unbearable to me among other things. eventually i dl'd TNFT and was a happy camper.

afaik, shortcuts went to "open source" and i haven't seen any upgraded versions since then, amirite? TNFT doesn't have all the whiz bang the old shortcuts did, but i feel it's coming down the road, and a free dl for the time being is a nice touch. (a bad taste for software developers was left after i purchased the NEW PT3, and it never worked and was in it's umpteenth beta version which is why i switched to HEM and have been happy ever since.)
