Re: ***Official 2009 Micro Stakes FR Full Tilt Regulars Thread***

Phew, 3k hands +$250 session tonight at NL50.. I thought I was up like.. $50 and freaked out when I saw that I was up 250.. because I got rivered AA vs KK (K) once and shoved AK pre vs a sick donker (85/50).. usually I don't shove AK pf much. He had KJ and connected the Jack on turn. anyways I never look at my $ or winnings during a session. I just look at my ironman points..

its pretty awesome to be completely surprised.. because I didn't stack any fullstack once. Just kept sniping those $10-30's.
WHen you play poker, lose track of time and how many pots you've taken.. it's a good zone to be in mentally.

Damn, feels good. Up 23 BI@nl50 excluding rakeback.
Feeling pretty confident in my play. IT's gonna be hard to sleep now because I'm too hyper.

I miss throwin 3 bucks even first in raises ))

Yeah, I you!!!

We need more FR material at stox imo. Most new vids are 6max nowadays.

But saying that you crushed those limits because of those stats with those samples is... a stretch.

I've read and heard a lot of intelligent people say that playing for stats is bad. Play for making good decisions, play for spots, but not for stats-

I was at a very nitty table last night. Raised ATC from BTN, CO and HJ. Won 80-90% of those hands. Steal% up the wazoo.
Had a 80/20 to my right at another table. 4 times in a row, he limps, 4 times in a row I 3bet him (nit behind me), 4 times in a row I pick up the blinds plus his gift. 3bet% up the wazoo.

So stats are good to look at for tendencies after fairly large samples depending on the stat you want to look at, LDO. But looking at session stats is meeeh. IMO.

That's the catch: it doesn't.

And don't get me wrong, it has nothing much to do with your skills, it's just the nature of the math behind poker winrates.

Go play with http://pokervariancesimulator.fr and put 0 for the winrate (breakeven player), then put 30k, and then 300k for the number of hands. Variance (SD) can be 50-100 (you can look it up in HEM if you want to take yours).

Now look at those nice upswings (and some of the not so nice downswings).

In the long run, you might be breakeven BUT if after 30k hands you have enough BR to move up, you do. Good for you. But it doesn't mean you beat that lower limit. It just means you used variance to build a roll "right at the right time".

I'd 3bet smaller and call it quits if bet into me. Checking behind is the best option as played IMO.

Nothing wrong with showing strength when you possibly have the best hand. Only person I'd worry a little about was the guy that flatted original raisers bet. I'm assuming his range is weighted towards pocketpairs. But even then he played over 50% of his hands.
well yeah if you are willing to stack off AKhigh on the turn for value versus two players then it is fine. If you are just looking to collect dead money, it is not.

I 3B for value of course precisely because I was never scaring these two away but I almost always have the best hand!

Re: ***Official 2009 Micro Stakes FR Full Tilt Regulars Thread***

So, started playing again since a week or so...

Have been gone for like a month or month and a half because of vacation, a break as a result of running not too good and resulting tilt + losses. So I cashed out a part, left enough for 25NL and now started playing there to get my act together, become more disciplined and less tilty and work on hand/reading and all...

So... Now grinding my way back (very slowly, don't put in a lot of hands) to a roll for 50NL. In the meanwhile, see you at the 25NL tables

NL50 is just so much fun. Aipf twice with QQ today, against 34s and 33 and as usual the German droolers can't miss ever.

if you bet flop you're probs priced in to call a shove... and they're rarely both folding, just check and give up

our equity on this board is awful anyway, we're actually a dog to 2 random hands

Cool Re: ***Official 2009 Micro Stakes FR Full Tilt Regulars Thread***

Hello again everyone ... its the guy with the questions again .. !!

Im wondering how many tables you lot play ... ?

I had this belief that people play FR so they can play a max amount of tables .. to basically compensate for a probable lower bb/100 hands earn rate from what you could probably earn at 6 max but playing less tables..

Ive tried 16, 15, 14 down to .......... 2

I think ive found my optimal amount to be around 10 ...maybe 8 . possibly 12 ..

Did anyone else shoot for 16 and found it a little too much and settled for less and are happy they made the right decision ?

Or do all FR players eventually want to be playing 16 tables and are working towards their goal ..

Obviously the questions will stop soon enough ... once i have a clear idea of what you FTP FR regs are thinking ...

Once i have enough info... the next stage is to take your money on the tables

Yea you can customize the whole right panel. So I have the tableview obv and Todays Ironman points. So when I click the lobby I just see how many points I have. Feature of the new lobby.. I wish they would remove the whole left hand side with the cheesy ferguson video. that guy annoys me so much..

Jos, I play as well at 12 tables as I do 4.
There are some things which will help:
Mods for visibility
A nice hud setup
Pokershortcuts

This allows you to be quick and frees up time for thinking.

Obviously its something you practise too. I think I could probably play 16 tables now but it won't fit on my monitor and I like to have all tables visible.. so I can see VPIP's at all times and all my hands.

Re: ***Official 2009 Micro Stakes FR Full Tilt Regulars Thread***

I have allready modded the FTP tables and cards .

I think i have too many HUD stats .. but thats ok ..i can change that if required.

Pokershortcuts is something ive looked at .. but its something ive never used at any site TBH ..

I have 2 20" Dell monitors with a 1600 x 1200 screen resolution .. so i can play 8 tables with no overlap at all ..

Ive messed about with different formats for more tables on FTP .. those layouts options are great .
