What shot taking system do you use if you dont mind me asking? obv you have a 18-20 bi min as you stated but do you have a stop loss or is it just if you get below your 18 bi min?

Only one session each but this is how it usually looks like

50NL:

25NL:

For those hating the move to 50NL, I empathize. I went through it last year. Up to 50, back to 25, up to 50 back to 25, etc.

One day you'll say screw it and 50 will be your new home. Hang in there.

I feel I can beat 50nl and my wr is decent at 50nl but I feel like there is more ups and downs then there should be and am wondering if 100nl is the same or not as swungy.
08-06-2009 , 11:02 AM
It's alot more swingy...

less edge in general against the field = more variance.

No really stop loss, I tend to stop when I feel it's bothering me. I usually like to have it at 3 buy-ins but I've gone as low as 15 buy-ins at kept playing because I felt I was still playing well and the low BR was worrying me. Basically once I start getting nervous about losing another buy-in and start taking lower variance lines instead of a +ev one then I drop down. Also having RB payments coming in every week make shot taking a lot easier for me as well knowing my roll will be propped back up without the need for a lot of play at 50nl.

Please stay now above the black line for the rest of the month...

Hai HP!! Please let me know if you know who I am, because in going over a HH, I found out who you were. If you know who I am, it's cool, but if not, I'll PM you my SN.

Borloo, I'd be happy to hang out! I don't think I have you on my AIM, but you're in my Skype. I'll see if I can find you there and maybe we can set something up?

Sounds like a pretty solid shot taking guide. Better then just a stop loss. Im sure you will be back up there again in no time and getting close to shot taking at 200nl. GL!

$1023 x 0.27 = $276

Don't forget to add in the fpp's you earn
for clearing the bonus too. 10k fpps = $160

Stars
$300 + [(7500/10000) x $160] = $420 > $276

If you are silver or higher then you would have more fpp's than 7500 so it would be more

Yeah i was thinking that..but wouldnt you also have to consider I would be gold for two months on Ft which is $150 in bonus at year end? Im probably just gonna try stars anyways but just sayin
08-06-2009 , 01:30 PM
ya, you'd have to figure in all the extras at each.....you should be able to get gold at stars with about 27k hands of 25NL in a month so you'd make more FPP's that way too so instead of 7500/10000 = $120 you may have $60 extra in FPP's......plus if you have any freerolls, rakeraces, Ironman medals, Ironman freerolls, FT points, etc. you'd add those too

If you want to get maximum value against me with the nuts when you're OOP, take this expert line.

Check flop
Check/call turn
Check/raise river

It's worked wonders today.

I have seen a lot of people doing this the past couple of days. Weird players on FTP lately. Any correlation with the bonus they have going on or is it just a bad run of table selection?
08-06-2009 , 07:29 PM
Play has been really weird even at NL100. Sure people were playing back at me, always when I had nothing and had to fold a lot, but when I did get a good and was able to see some of the hands, I was stunned at what some of these guys had..."so you were semibluffing/calling on the runner, runner two pair draw...interesting"

Yah the play has been super strange lately. Very Aggro and strange. They seem to be all over the place and are making it tough to adjust. Guess its time for some nitbagyness. Small ball doesnt seem to be to effective against them and neither does LAG. May just need to hunker down and get back to the super basics untill the games evolve again and become a new beast.

yeah during the drinking hours tonight and this weekend, I may try to play some 10/8 and just look at getting paid.

Oh today some guy told me there was no stealling of his blinds and kept defending them. He was right 3 out of 5 times and got my cbets, but I got two stacks from him when he over defended.

lol sammy.

today i ran 2BI above EV and won some flips vs 2p2 regs :-) life is good.

I'd say it's a good thing, but I'm not stacking off here for 150 BBs w/ a pair and a flush draw against a probable set.

xxBigPotFanxx = ?
Pretty sure he's 2+2 since he referenced a thread at the table.
