Lately it seem impossible to be more aggressive than the random PF aggression that was NL50 the last few months. I haven't seen the crazy stuff at NL100, but there is more squeezes, blind defending. At NL50 it seem the squeezes where random and ill-timed, the the blind defending was just odd.

Sounds like ABC would kill 50. Slightly nitty ABC.

1k hand sample on my last stay there, but my experience was the same. I whiffed every flop and had to fold everything. Ended the session down, and ~100% of losses were redline.

Hi tilt regs... I'm a stars reg and wanted to ask something that has probably been asked a billion times in your thread.

I have an existing FTP account. I would play on FTP if I got rakeback.

But since I have an existing FTP account, am I basically SOL for getting rakeback?

There's some list you can get yourself on, I think. I don't know details, but someone will.

This reminds me of a quote I mis remember. I think Chip was giving Barry a hard time about being such a nit in big games and said something to the effect
"Barry, when are you stop going to be a nit and open up your game"
"Once people stop paying me off"

Watching the first couple of season of HSP, I was amazed how often he got paid off...

That depends on wether your FT account is untracked. If you are not attached to an affiliate you just write FTP an email asking for rakeback, they answer that they are currently working something out for a select few and for testing purposes, and that you have been put on that list. In theory, 2-3 months later you have rakeback. I know it worked for some ITT. FWIW I'm still on hold, since early March...

So would most of you recommend moving on to nl100 once we are rolled for it and beating the game or should we stick to nl50 for awhile? I can beat the level just seems high variance as people stated above. Is either level better for working on our game?

When you're an unknown at 50nl on FT you can get away with 3betting light as they seem to give unknowns more respect. I've still seen some random crazy post flop spazzing though. I think sammy brings up a great point that micro regs seem to do things like 3bet and Squeeze because they've heard it mentioned and it's a good tool for someone to have in their game however they seem to put absolutly zero thought into when/who they should be squeezing.

The game at $50 is changing by the month; I'm not sure it is beneficial to generalize about it.

I may have completely forgotten how to play poker, though, so ymmv.

More and more I think NL50 is the level of misapplication - myself included I think it's the first level where people are really working on the subtler parts of the game. Not to say that people aren't working on stuff at the lower limits, but I think it's the more fundamental stuff, so people aren't spewing as bad. At 50 people are really going nuts with things like Teddie says.

Bottom line is that we are playing the players and not the limit (credit to King Spew for really hammering that home for me). Some 50 tables will be much harder than some 100 tables and vice versa... the important conclusion to that statement is obvious.

I'm guessing this is true, though I hadn't caught onto it completely yet in the 3-4K hands since I've been back. It also varies a lot by time of day.

Pretty sure I'm giving too much credit to some unknowns.

Since I plan to take another shot at it this month, I appreciate the chat.

Agree 100% obv, that any given table might bear no resemblance to such generalizations.

I think FT is starting to hate my little green leprechaun avatar, thinking its time for a change to break out of this EV performance this month so far. Any suggestions for the next El Nino 1 avatar ?

Well today I start up the bonus whoring on sites. I have a friend who is actually a rakeback affiliate and he set me up pretty nice. Here is what I plan on grinding out this month for bonuses etc.

Party - $500 deposit bonus / $350 bonus that is pretty easy to earn / 23% Rakeback
UB - $1000 deposit bonus / 30% Rakeback
Pokerstars - They just offered a $300 reload bonus
VC Poker - Got an unreal 50% rakeback deal here - probably just going to play this site after I have a bigger roll
FTP - $200 bonus I got.

Lots of work to be done this month! Time to get at it!
