Welcome btw!

Yea I had just sat down, no reads or stats on him. I had reads and a lot of stats on a fish (the other caller), and was not worried at all after he called. I was worried about btn call on flop, but I didnt want to check call turn, or check raise, I would have bet/folded if he raised, and also I really was going to give up my hand , but then the river came the Ten! I was aware 99 was possible, but with no reads....sucky situation.

O well, a few lessons learnt because of that hand.

I bet I'm the only one who remembers telexes and punched cards and typewriter-style interface before screens. LOL. IIRC, faxes were pervasive by about 1987ish.

I have a question about the Ironman store. Are buying the Tournament tokens better value than buying the cash bonuses? What am I missing? Can the tournament tokens be turned into cash easily and does it affect my mgr?
07-25-2009 , 09:31 PM
If you are decent at tourneys, then tokens are a better value in $ per medal. But I think majority of us prefer to go easy way, so we get the bonus which can be cleared playing your regular game.
Another thing to consider is, you can clear Ironman midyear/end-year bonus, and the bonus from Ironman store at the same time. So especially if you are at the lower limits where you dont usually play enough hands every month to clear the bonus, this can be convenient.

Tokens can be turned into cash by playing tourneys and winning cash there. It effects MGR if there is overlay I think, otherwise it doesnt, but I dont have experience with this, you should find some more info if you search for it.

I emailed FTP a few days ago, but I used a wrong email so they couldn't do it (like wtf, how can removing that table limit make any harm to anyone?)... then I emailed them with right email and waited for 18 hours, no answer. I mailed them again, and now 10 hours have passed since.

Is FTP support really that bad it takes them 28+ hours to answer such a simply request? I've heard it's bad, but for a poker site something like this is really awful tbh. I've never waited more than 2h to get a reply on iPoker, B2B or OnGame.
took about an hour for me.
Started playing, noticed only 8 tables. Sent email telling them I play 24 on stars but would prefer just to play on tilt, they got right back to me with an increase.

You mean preflop? I agree with the turn, but I would bet the flop myself too. But I think squeezing (or just folding) preflop is better.
07-26-2009 , 06:46 AM
would def squeeze this is SB were full stacked

You will no get the same speed over wireless as you do over a wired line.

in theory, 12,5 MB/sec over a 100 Mbit line, 5,6 MB/sec over a 54 Mbit Wifi connection.

take of a few MB/sec b/c reality is not the same as theory

However, I didn't realize how big this one was and I probably can get by with just the one for now. Anyways, to answer your question I have decided I'm gonna play like the entire mini FTOPS with my points, as I am fairly confident I can achieve a better ROI than 3.5 per 1k points invested. What do you spend them on??
usually play mtts with them but i just bought the 22 inch screen (lol 4 months ago took 3 months to get here)

Yea but I'd still rather play a 20bb stack HU then a reg. When there's 3 tables with 1 person on it and I start up a table there less chance the fish will join my table.
