I've done similar.

Tightest Nit ever (0/4/0 over like 1000 hands) limps UTG and I'm on the button with KQs. I'm pretty sure UTG has QQ+ so I min raise button to get rid of blinds and see if I can stack UTG with flush or something.

Oops! I type "50" instead of ".50" and my $35 stack goes into the middle. UTG instant calls with QQ and I lose $35 bucks. Right read, wrong action.

How long it took for you to get your table limit lifted from that 8 (or 9 w/e)?

I emailed FTP a few days ago, but I used a wrong email so they couldn't do it (like wtf, how can removing that table limit make any harm to anyone?)... then I emailed them with right email and waited for 18 hours, no answer. I mailed them again, and now 10 hours have passed since.

Is FTP support really that bad it takes them 28+ hours to answer such a simply request? I've heard it's bad, but for a poker site something like this is really awful tbh. I've never waited more than 2h to get a reply on iPoker, B2B or OnGame.

Exact same situation for me earlier this week (wrong email incl.). Took 3-4 days to get it bumped up.

Also, I just put Full Tilt on my new laptop and can only see Play Money tables/Play Money info at the cashier...anyone know why this is? Works fine on my old machine, no account problems there. FTP has been >48 hours getting back to me on this as well.

Sorry, tightest nit ever stats were 4/0/0. That's right he only limped 4% of hands and never raised! And I misclicked shoved! LOL.

Did you download the correct FTP client from .com Web site? The client from .net Web site only does play money.

Damn Jason and his stupid COTW, there seems to be a lot more regs starting tables in the last few days.
07-25-2009 , 11:39 AM
Yeah but everyone sucks HU/SH. Fish stack off even lighter SH'ed and the regs can't adjust for toffee.

First of all, FTP I'm sure is still dealing with a ton of Emails about their supposed upgrade two weeks ago. I know I'm still getting some lag and tables still are not popping up if I have focus on something other than the FTP Client. SO, I would imagine there CS staff is busier than normal.

Second, yes they are slow regardless.

Remember when there was no such thing as email, faxes, cell phones, ahh, you probably don't.

Brag: I asked about this before I went to bed about a week ago, and by morning they had upped my limits.

Beat: I also asked for rakeback in the same letter and they said no.

Variance: ...there are cats fighting outside my window?

Actually I don't remember time without faxes, haven't they been around for over 20 years?

Anyway... I think poker site is somewhat comparable to a bank, people are depositing/withdrawing money on their poker accounts, sometimes even quite big amounts (thousands of dollars). If you'd try to contact your bank and couldn't get in touch with them in 24 hours, wouldn't you get upset, possibly even enough to change to another bank?

Usually I don't care whether it takes 2 hours or 30 hours for support to answer, but when it's poker site I'd expect them to answer as soon as possible. Over 24 hours is not acceptable IMO, even though those updates might have something to do with their support being busy.

My matter is in no way urgent this time, but this kind of disregard for customer support looks really bad. Makes you really think if FTP client/games are worth playing on such a site... If only euro sites had such a good clients and as much games... =P

PS. Yes, I am over-exaggerating on purpose, but I'm still half-serious.

I finally decided I had made enough money to buy a monitor instead of destroying my eyes by squinting at a laptop screen for 7 hours a day. I got a 23' LCD samsung and it is easily the best purchase I have made in the last 2 years. The all black finish is so sexy, and it has this little blue LED light that is pretty sweet IMO too.
07-25-2009 , 03:57 PM
^ what are you using your ftp points on?
07-25-2009 , 04:01 PM
Good question. I was going to sell them ( I have just over 100k right now) and buy a second monitor. I like the red one from the FTP store but considering I could sell the points for 3.5/1k and make $318 US it is probably wiser financially to sell the points and buy a comparable monitor for like $120 cheaper in Canada. However, I didn't realize how big this one was and I probably can get by with just the one for now. Anyways, to answer your question I have decided I'm gonna play like the entire mini FTOPS with my points, as I am fairly confident I can achieve a better ROI than 3.5 per 1k points invested. What do you spend them on??
07-25-2009 , 04:02 PM
is there anything good in the ftp store other than electronics?
07-25-2009 , 04:03 PM
I dunno, I kind of like some of the computer bags.......I think that grey ballistic nylon one looks nice.

yea anyone who is planning on playing a lot, another monitor is a very very wise investment. I am so glad I won a satellite to a WCOOP and used the T$ to just buy a new montor instead of playing the event.

also, whatsup all. I am a micro grinder. Currently 10NL, which I hoped to never play again, but had a few failed shots, (way underrolled), some sick coolers, and I had to move back down. Well, hope to see you guys on the 25nl tables real soon!
