Hey FTP guys, I have questions about the FTP deposit bonus. I want to clear the full $600, but can't seem to find information on how their rake works so I can't figure out how many FTP points it will take to clear the bonus. I play 50NL, how many hands would be required to clear it?
03-29-2009 , 06:11 PM
From memory of about half a year ago it took me around 20-30k hands to clear. At 50NL that is.

Sounds like ezgame. I know that each FT point is worth $0.06 into clearing the bonus, and you get one point for each $1 raked... do they rake 5% just like Stars? If so, wouldn't the $rake be the same as Stars (if so I can check $rake/hands in my DB)? I'm just trying to figure out the numbers I need to find out how many hands would have to be played.

At 50NL I made 0.274 points/hand on average over ~70k hands.

OK thanks. 10,000 FTP points for bonus clear, 0.274 points per hand is 36,496 hands.

My math alright?

Yep.
Nice thing is you get the bonus in increments of $20, so $20 every ~1.25k hands.

Edit: btw, the bonus costs you $162 in RB.

Hey guys, after lurking around for too long in this poker thingy, I decided to take up on cash and am currently playing NL10 after going through a few thousand hands on the deuce and NL5.

No one on 2p2 afaik. He's actually more of a pokerstars reg, he plays less on ftp then he does on Stars. 13/2 nit who basically just limp calls and set mines all day. I hate that ****er with a passion.

Welcome to the grind.

is it just me or is ftp lagging tonight?

Hero thinks villain has tptk or overpair. Villain plays hand like tptk or overpair. Hero shoves with 8 or more outs. Villain snap calls. Hero goes 0 for 3.

Moral of the story...don't try to put pressure on 50nl players when they have their AK.

Has anyone had dealings with a funny NL10 reg named '2112yyz' who is a super lagtard? He stacks off with gutshots on the flop. The other day I flopped quad jacks and he gave me 100BB with bottom pair lol.

Hello. Just deposited on FTP and am gonna begin grinding the $25nl tables for a nice profit. Few observations,
1. the software is annoying
2. the players are ******ed mostly
3. it is considerably harder to find a good table as there are NO table filters WTF
4. who cares I've got a bonus to unlock plus rakeback afterwards.

anyway see you at the tables. SN ends with "1983"

Is he as spazzy at NL50 or is that just when he's slumming it at NL10? lol

I agree. Especially compared to Pokerstars. People always tell me they love the Stars software but I'm like...eh huh? I can't see anything. The menus are all illegible and squirrely, and I can't stand the table graphics/sound effects.

why do you think so? I multitable on both and I always feel that FTP is easier because its easier to look at.

For me, stars software is better, and it's not even close.

It runs smoother. There's filters in the lobby that help me to table select better. I don't like the "bet pot" button on FT b/c it helps fish to betsize better. And full tilt can't run as many tables as stars.

And apart from the software, you have to agree that Stars Client Support is the best on the net. Every change players ask for is taken into consideration. FT Support is pretty much a bunch of jerks that can't get anything right.
