On PS, I used to play cascaded / tiled. I recently switched to a variant of stacked.

I have one main stack and then pop windows out to one of 3 other positions to observe important hands or to concentrate on a big stack drooler to my right.

TableNinja has hotkeys for moving windows to different positions. TN-FT doesn't have this yet so when I play stacked I move the windows manually.

I've been playing more 4 tables tiled since moving to FT due to the table moving issue. Actually, I've been doing more 4 tabling in general since I suck and need to think more but since I was playing 2NL I have done several sessions with 8 tables (stacked as described).

With TableNinja PS, I've stopped caring whether or not PS improves their client. LOL, not completely true but damn, TN is like crack. I had used some excellent AHKs before but TN is well supported and has a slicker UI for managing how you configure it. AHKs are like Linux and TableNinja is like MacOS. I'm old and just don't care to learn / wrestle with AHKs anymore. I'm perfectly happy to pay someone else some money to make it easy for me.

AHKs and Linux are a great fit for some people. Before TN came along I was a happy user of the betpot script!

I've turned off all PS/FT client sounds. TN-FT has an option to play a sound n seconds into my timebank so I use that. OMG, biggest anti-tilt win in months!

TRIVIA: my dog hates the bet/check/fold sound of poker clients because he associated poker sounds with my yelling and throwing things across the room and he don't like his god to be angry.

anybody else run like balls while clearing bonuses?
12-01-2009 , 06:08 AM
Just to double check, but if I can see my status for the year end bonus under my Iron Man tab it means I have opted "in" right? I cannot remember what I clicked last year and I am paranoid I will do something stupid and screw myself out of $600. Any help would be appreciated.

lost a 335$ pot @50NL, I dont know exactly what I was thinking.
Then I shoved KTs into a reg's 4bet.
Then I cold 4bet A2 into same reg's 3bet.

From hero to zero, or from +180 to -120 in 30 mins

Ouch.

HH for the $350 pot?
12-01-2009 , 09:35 AM
I'll keep it for me, think it was prolly close but rather a fold by the turn
12-01-2009 , 09:45 AM

phew, I got lucky at the duty today. I had two real cool guys who put the worth of the hoddie under the amount where I would have to pay tax for the import.

And at the sendoff they wished me luck with my further gambling

I thought i would post this here instead of making a thread for it as i really want to be semi selective of who gets involved in this. With the mini FTOPS coming up im trying to get together a group that plays a number of the events and plays as a team. Not in the sense that they slow play or dump chips but in that they share %'s with each other. I did this with a couple of guys last mini FTOPS and we had 3 very deep runs between the 4 of us. Although we made no final tables i think we were close had we won a coin flip.

I propose that each player keeps 60% of what they cash and the remaining 40% is divided up between all members of the 'team'.

Drop me a message in here or a pm if you prefer if you have any interest. Id like to have people play about 10 events (remember we can use FTPs) altho that number isnt necessary and would like to keep the team to about 5 guys.

Id like the players to be reasonably well known so that we have no issues with trust.

I'd be interested in swapping some, but probably not 40%. Plus I'm also planning on playing only 4-6 tourneys. Definitely all the ones on Sunday, possible the 100+9, and if I can satellite into it, the two day.

Ok, the last one's mostly a pipedream. Sweet, sweet pipedream...

Same like me. I would be fine w/ 40% but I will be not able to play 10+ of them.

How can I spend points of them?

So full tilt rep says they are going to do something about the short stack problem by the end of the year. Any news on this?
12-01-2009 , 03:46 PM
Also curious if anyone has heard any scuttlebutt about the new rewards program. Spill it.
12-01-2009 , 03:53 PM
I've heard that from 01/01/10 on they introduce dynamic RB percentages according to e-peen size ... NOT?

100bb min tables with antes. actually i didn't hear anything but that'd be cool.
12-01-2009 , 04:38 PM
50bb min tables like on Stars would be okay for me.
12-01-2009 , 05:57 PM
what would help is if everyone here just started deep tables. i remember hearing about this on stars where a lot of ssnl regs made 50bb min tables combat all the ss.
