Yeah, I don't like sets at all...Today had a weird hand speaking of set over sets.

NL100, effective stacks are $180.

I have 44 in the BB, limps to me, I raise to $3.5, call.
Flop comes Tc9c4h
SB checks, I bet $6, call.
Turn is a Jc, SB checks, I bet $12, he calls.
River is an Ac, SB checks, I bet $18 for thin value...he calls with TT.

I actually understand exactly what he was thinking on every street. weird, yes, but it is basically him trying to let you catch something and then the board turning out really ****ty.

Reminds me of one video I watched. The creator of the vid has a friend who runs so good that he just refers to pocket pairs as sets.
11-16-2009 , 06:41 PM
hehe. could you post a link or pm the video?

wish i ran that goot when i played

I've been doing 5.5+1, which really cuts down SPRs post flop. But I do 60bb at regular tables now anyway, so 100bb is kinda the same thing at ante tables, just a slight increase in stakes. (Like the old .15/.30 tables compared to .10/.25.)
I do not like 5.5+1 AT ALL

Way too big

In his recent vid he did duel commentary with Mbolt and were referring to situations like this because he said it was standard for Mbolt. Was pretty funny vid.

haven't viewed the dual commentary vid with Stox/MB. but iirc, either hunter or cottonseed had a vid out a year or more ago with similar comments.

tables are dry right now... think i'll go watch a vid and be back later.

HeHe I refer to PPs as quads. I get quads to stack straights and flushes. I get quads at least once every session. Somewhere out there is someone who never gets quads. LOL.

Ax is a PP LOL.

FYP
urs was way too optimistic.
11-17-2009 , 01:06 AM
Flipaments ftw. Might have to check out some of the mini ftops events.
11-17-2009 , 01:14 AM
didn't they just have miniftops like last month or 2 months ago? that being said if they let you BI with FTP points i'll definitely be playing a few events
11-17-2009 , 01:18 AM
The knockout event might be profitable. A few KOs and you make your money back. I think my biggest tournament score was on a KO event. Made the final table!
