yo mr happy pixel official request for a table starting vid if possible. i remember you mentioning it in one of your 25 or 50 vids.

Yeah it definitely wasn't all run bad.
I mean i tilted pretty hard and it cost me some stacks but poker is just so fing stupid at times. Feels like everytime you get it in your either crushed or they suck out. Add on to that standard coolers and flips never going your way and fish folding whenever you have them beat it starts to get to me.

I think ill hang out at the quarter for a bit then.
ps: i talk to a lot of poker people on aim. Mostly the unl chatroom but that just tilted me even more last night.

Brings up another question, are xmas lights common outside the USA? When is the standard for setting lights up elsewhere?
11-09-2009 , 02:41 PM
Well, I've been seeing xmas related commercials on TV for a few weeks now.

Anything American is standard outside the US by now... they were selling friggin pumpkins last week. Cinema is a huge factor exporting traditions. Actually, traditionally you'd have lights on the xmas tree (read real candles on a real fir tree); recently people started putting lights around their windows.

If you live in the north, it makes sense to get them up now before serious cold hits, then just turn them on when the season starts.

Here was it at least in the last few years not rly cold in december.

And I live in a flat so I have not to put up outside lights anyway

LOL yes i'm married to a woman who has a "list"!!! and here in wyoming the weather can change at any time... my sprinklers damn near froze up the 1st week of october too... normally they don't get blown out until mid november but there was a serious cold snap roll in...

with the weather in the 50's, i am the first to get the lights up, but i can laugh and watch the others deal with it after the first snow!

did notice some cracked caulking around the upper window so it's a trip to home depot for a bit of home maintenance!

we've had lights and decorations on the houses here since as far back as i can remember
its gotten worse and more commercialized though. you started to see those dumb climbing midget santas everywhere a couple of years ago.

and i live in belgium fwiw

Finally got to a motel that had some free WIFI, two days in New Orleans and already experienced partying with strippers, lots of alcohol, watching my friend get crazy with a 40yr old local, and avoiding a hurricane. Also lots of fun with Pasties too. Pics to follow
