1. Depends on the player, but most if not all pocket pairs ("he's cbetting the Ace"), and even some KQ type of hands ("he's cbetting the Ace")
2. Depends on the player, but mostly not, unless I know Villain has a JJ-KK type of hzand with which he is happy to go broke
3. Nope.

Where am I wrong?

I got dealt 7676 the other day in hold 'em. I was gonna post it in bbv especially since i was on the btn and stole the blinds, but I forgot I hit print screen and copied a graph afterward so I lost the image. I just assumed I really had 76o. Has this happened to anybody else?

everytime i get sucked out on by a russian shortstacker, I think of him playing with gloves in a backwards wooden house in a country side or in a communutarian appartment of a sleazy neigbhourhood of Moscow, playing on a 15' CRT, drinking frelated vodka and cheering to his success.

Then, I feel better.

Nasgrovieh, f*ckers.

worth paying for IMO. 1 buyin at NL25 per month. Earn way more than that from the knowledge gained = +EV.

When I play aginst a frenchman I picture them sitting under a tree in a sunny park, with their laptop and a baguette over the shoulder. That's you, admit it

emailed FT about rakeback, how long should i expect for them to actually reply? Also what do you think my chances are? I'm hoping I will be playing there soon. I might just go it without for a bit.

I lost a few of my hand histories, can I just email full tilt and ask them to send every hand history from the last week?
09-20-2009 , 04:22 PM
^ I've done this, they can do it.

Hello Richard,

Thanks for contacting Full Tilt Poker Support.

You?ve asked about the possibility of receiving rakeback but at this time, Full Tilt Poker does not offer rakeback directly to players.

There are a number of affiliate companies which offer rakeback if players sign up to Full Tilt Poker through their website. However, it appears that you were referred to Full Tilt Poker from an affiliate which does not offer rakeback. We are unable to switch your account from this affiliate to another, as our agreement with affiliates prohibits this.

We understand that you are interested in such promotions in the future and if the situation changes, our players will be the first to know and we will contact you when we have more news.

Regards,

Marit

booooo...... also I didnt know I had an affiliate. Is it something to do with the fact I wrote a bonus code for the first deposit or something?
09-20-2009 , 05:56 PM
No, I think it has to do from where you downloaded the software?
09-20-2009 , 06:08 PM
Could be either.
09-20-2009 , 06:20 PM
There's some sites out there afaik that make it seem like they are the ones providing the bonus while it is in fact full tilt doing it. If you deposit using their code they essentially take your "rakeback" for themself.
09-20-2009 , 06:20 PM
Unless you downloaded software directly from Full Tilt, having just cleared out your cookies, you could very easily be associted to an affiliate without even knowing it.

And this sucks, big time. IMO, poker sites need to set up term limits for affiliation, after which you can choose to renew with an affiliate or move to a new one. It just pisses me off that one bad decision to affliate with some bull**** software screws you on the site forever. The affiliate really has no motivation to offer you additional support/product/whatever, and you're permanently screwed out on Rakeback because of some crappy affiliation.

And yes, I obviously made some horrible affiliation decisions before I really knew what I was doing.

I don't think I'd find a fold there either. Probably thinking it's a split but it's not too much to pay to find out. lol

Does anybody feel like FT is a psycho girlfriend. One day, she's the sweetest thing ever. She wakes you up to suck your $U#), brings you breakfast in bed, picks up beer for you and your friends to watch your favorite sporting event, then leaves you alone.

But the next day- the next day LOOK OUT! PMS has kicked in and she's a psycho bitch. You can't even remember why you are with her. You take her shopping at the mall because that's what she wants to do, but she still isn't happy. "OMG, Were you just *looking* at that skank??? You are such a bastard! I'm gonna spend more money now! Hold my purse and give me your opinion on these almost identical looking 23 black dresses and tell me which one you like the best. Do I look fat in this one?" FML.

You just have to hope it's worth it on the good days.

She seems to get that way every time I move up in stakes. I can't believe how many times I've had my sets and As cracked. I know I was having this same issue the last time I moved up. Just gotta weather the storm. I'm down 500BB now, which I'm counting as a win considering the stretch of bad beats I've been having.

LOL, yeah, that must be the equivalent of when she says "Sure, go to the strip club with your friends. I don't mind really!"

Spoiler:
It's a tarp!!

What level are you trying to move up to? It has taken me a few tries each time. Don't sweat it too bad.

Now for 50-100 I've stopped thinking in terms of moving up. I just play good tables, whatever limit they happen to be. It's working OK. I'm not finding it too hard to mix limits during a sesh, but that tilts some people.

I've just moved up to 5-10. I plan on staying unless I'm like really close to going broke. Rakeback has been helping and I'm almost definitely getting the full Take2 bonus. I think part of it is that I'm getting accustomed to the new dollar amounts. Although I think I've just about adjusted. The play seems more aggro than 5NL. This is probably going to lead to some swingier results. But I had to weather a storm early in my 5NL days and once I did, I started crushing those games.

Take 2 promotion is the number 1 thing you can do for your bankroll at those levels. Super return on the value.

Questions: What is your BR? Can you redeposit 200?

Review all your losing hands for a while. Make sure you are not spewing in any way. It's easy to change your game accidentally when you move up because you think they are playing back, etc.

10 nl will seem like a super EZ game after a while and you will LOL that you struggled with it. Then of course there is 25... and 50... and 100... well you get the idea.
09-21-2009 , 01:00 PM
My BR is at about 200. A little less.

I've reviewed some of my big losses. One comes to mind as particularly spewy. Where I went broke with top pair J kicker (lost to TPTK). My biggest loss to date was where I flopped a boat with pocket 8s on a 8-6-6 board. Got it all in vs my opponent's Qs. He rivered a Q to beat me. Another big one was where I got it in with aces vs QTs. Person flopped his flush. There have been quite a few KKs and QQs running into AAs (my streak of KKs beating AAs seems to have come to an end)

But that AA losing to QT - man. I laughed at that for like five minutes. Either I've matured or have lost sanity.
