What a bunch of nits. I've never had so much success with 3b and c/r bluffing.

Does everyone play fit or fold at the quarter?
Short answer is yes. There are still fish, and there are some who adjust, but imo most 25nl players know how to make a fold and don't like stacking off light.

Tell me 'bout it. Just like 20 tables running, and every one is filled with shortstackers. I spent my time playing HU with a reg 200bb deep... fun times.

I use both, right now they have had some trouble with bank transfer, so check is the way to go. But once they have bank xfer up, I prefer that method.

Ive decided to play the $25 FR tables here this month ... no idea if its a good idea .. just want a change from ipoker ...

No idea if the iron man thing is worth it ... i suppose ill find out at the end of the month !

25nl tables at FT are good. IronMan only gets to be "worth it" if you string together a number of qualifying months. I assume you have rakeback? That'll be worth more than ironman.

Thanks for the info Kurt ..

So IronMan is a long term thing .. fair enough

I have the old RTR RB deal .. which i pressume is still the standard .

I can get better RB deals elsewhere ... but i just fancy trying out FTP again ..

So far the tables seem fine ... hopefully still feel the same in a week

I also think it would be cool to get a check, at least the first time. I don't have an urgent need for the money, so I can wait two weeks for the check. Plus, full tilt has been giving a lot of money away recently, and I don't really want to count it towards my bankroll. Besides, I should get another $50 of free cash by the end of this month.

I'm not close to iron man. I usually get like five qualifying days a month, but I am registered for the one-a-day freeroll this Saturday. Although it's probably negative EV to play it since the money is so small and also I suck at tournaments. I do find them more fun, though.

picked up 2 more BI's this session and now i can see the on ramp to da fiddy games! just 1 more BI to go for the step up, but i got called to work ...

everyone pleez join me in protecting myself (and you) from the DoomSwitchOperator for getting giddy 'bout da fiddy!

"oh great DSO have mercy on the 'roll of EN09! you are the most high in the kingdom of poker... look down upon us with with your mercy and guide us with your wisdom... through the power of the Red Pro (bow your head here), you have ascended into your Kingdom to send those whom do not believe and have faith in you, to the bowels of busto... grant us your peace and protect us, and EN09, from the Hells of Variance."

now i just need to go outside and swing a dead red rooster over my head three times then bury it beneath an oak stump holding rainwater collected from a shower occurring at midnight, along with a shock of hair from a short stacker...

Today, the PSAs are of Fred Willard dressing up as a teenager and telling kids not to text and drive.

How many buy ins do you need before feeling the urge to go to the next buy in level ..?

Im a bankroll uber nit ... so i tend to stay at the lower limits and just withdraw some fun funds each month if things have gone well ..

Doesn't matter how many we need. You have to ask yourself how many you need. Depends a lot on your winrate, sample size, psychological requirements and goals for poker.

lol, if i remember correctly this guy was talking about moving up to 50 at 1k, about a month ago i was going to move up to 25 at 1k so i guess its all relative
09-09-2009 , 05:13 PM
Move up once I have 25 buyins at that level. Move down once I lose half of it. Where one buyin equals 100BB

Yea, it's all relative, but I don't get you guys who have to be over-rolled for the micros. The object is to move up. You aren't going to learn much more about crushing the dime between a BR of $625 and $1k, IMO. I think you should save the uber BR management for when you reach your permanent stakes.

As far as moving up at the micros, I like to start taking shots w/ 20 BI, and I consider myself 'moved up' when I have 25 BI for the new level. I drop back down if I fall back below 20BI.

Who me ?? .. i think you have the wrong guy .. I would have to be coming from the pub to be playing $50nl with $1k as a roll ..
09-09-2009 , 06:59 PM
What are you playing now? In general I'd say you want to be pretty aggressive in moving up until 50 nl. If you tell us a little more about your poker situation, goals, current BR, # of hands you have played etc, you might get some better advice.

Have you searched for Bank Roll Management threads and Moving Up threads? There are a lot of both. I'm too lazy to do it for you.

I agree wiith you somewhat .. if your not planning on withdrawing any time soon .. then yes .. take as many shots as you like at the next level as long as you move back down when things get a little tight .

Personally .. i tend to withdraw any profit ive made for individual months and enjoy myself a bit ...

Obviously this holds me back somehwhat ... but im happy ..

U buggers ... you have me thinking of venturing into $50nl now ..
