i was just in LA last week and spent a day going to beverly hills rodeo drive and the grove mall and it was aight Angels or Dodgers game is fun too

just decided to go last night. have found nice places in beverly hills, on the beach, and in downtown. assuming I will be doing stuff north and south of downtown while there, which area is best to stay in?


btw Im definitely not interested in anything poker related, including commerce.

id stay on the beach or in beverly hills. chk out dan tanna's on santa monica and doheney for steak/itallian. def make a reservation cause its kinda small and is packed every night. newsroom cafe on robertson is good for lunch. so is antonio's on melrose for mexican. some ppl that live there can prob tell u some more good places.


those places are all BH area. im sure u'll end up there at least once even if u stay on the beach.

I'll help you out, bro. First, definitely don't stay downtown. Don't bother with downtown at all. I suggest staying out in Venice Beach or Santa Monica or something. You should definitely cruise down to Malibu as well. Head down to Point Dume, drive around and check out the baller estates, then go to Zuma Beach.

I'm telling you this because, when I run like an iceberg, I like to roll through Malibu amidst the eight-figure houses and light the fire under my ass to get back to work, to remind myself that there is a point to poker and trying to play well. Plus Zuma Beach is massively pleasant, and a good spot for some relaxation. If you wanted to take it a step further, you could cruise up the PCH north out of Malibu to really take your mind off of things.

Alternatively, you could go to Palos Verdes and to Point Vicente Park for much the same experience.

As for what else to do, that really depends on what you're into. LA's got a little something for everyone.
