Vilain is not that bad of a player but he's playing fairly aggro postflop....

I hate this board cause we never get it in good here....
But calling isnt good either I think...

So I fold here, or its weak?

Any thoughts?

What are you doing with AA?

Aren't there more combos that are gonna c/r us on this flop than c/c? (aggro opponent)

Really what are we ahead of though that will C/R us on this flop? It hits our range well and it's not a good flop to bluff C/R.

I think we're behind his range and this is a good spot to ship it to the muck. The RIO are devastating.

I guess: folding > raising to $375 and calling it off > calling

calling then getting it in on a safe turn isn't bad either

calling sucks. as does raising. We've only got decent equity against AT/KT, and that's a fairly small part of his C-R range on this board.

I would call and get it in on a safe turn.
It's right that we're never shippin the flop being a huge favorite but if we see a safe turn, we win a ton of equity against his range and we can get it in safely imo.
Why all of you are saying it's bad to call ?

Bet/folding against an aggro is much much worst imo.
I like this :

bet/call (and ship on a safe turn) > check >>> bet/fold

Against a passive opponent, this should be an easy fold. Then again, if he's fairly aggro, I like calling and reevaluating on the turn (sometimes getting it in on a safe turn). No point committing your chips now when theres little to no fold equity and you're not doing that well against JT. Not that people tend to bluff raise these flops with total air, but if you do call this board I think he's likely to shut down with his weakest hands as well. Don't see how calling's bad at all. Another thing about calling is it lets you draw to your full house, which should win his stack if he has a straight. If he bets huge on the turn and you think your 98 is no good, you can muck it right there. You should get a good feel from the speed of his bet / his bet sizing. If he bets like 100 on a brick turn its likely to be a hand like JT but if he bets close to full pot he probably has you beat.

If we 4bets and then he shoves we got to call and we're like never ahead here, flipping at max!!

If we fold the hand is over but it's kinda weak

Let's say we call and the turn came Ad

And he bets 188 in 252...

Shove or fold?

Bet/fold is just wow. WTF guys? You seriously bet/folding two pairs on flop. So what's your cbet range, and what's your c/r calling range here? JT, 9T, JJ, sets, NFDs? That's like 8% of hands (most if which are folding non club turns), if your open range is 70% and cbet this flop 60%, you can continue vs. a c/r ~20% of time. Why the hell would villain not c/r this flop with air?

Either check back flop, or call the c/r, ship any non Q/7/club. If you call his c/r, and he has like JT, and the turn is 2c, I don't think he's firing into you very often.

folding is highly exploitable.

4bet folds out all worse hands and were only get called by better.

not a huge fan of checking bc we get zero value and let him see a free turn on horrible board

b/c a get it in on non scary turns is best option by far

Calling and getting it in on a good turn is fine and probably standard. other than that, it really depends on reads on opponent. sometimes i'm 3-bet/getting it in; other times i'm just folding.

Call or Fold. Your way behind v. most hands that checkraised this flop, maybe he has fd + overs or something and even then your not too big a favorite. If you made a smaller bet it would be an easier decision, as played fold. He's oop so if you think he's craising lite call and see the turn, what he does, but shut down your betting, duh.
