This is not value betting, it's bluffing. With a hand with showdown value. Which is not optimum play.

probably too wet of a board to do this on, jsut bc villain will reason u never have a really good hand once u check back the flop, and therefore its even easier for him to b3b draws

well the thread is titled thin value, yet u then say you are trying to rep Tx when u raise the turn, i.e. bluffing.

Do you prefer calling the turn and river?

I dont mind taking this line, _sometimes_, mostly vs guys who stabs 100% on turn when wet flops are checked back, for protecting my hand / my bluffs, and charging draws etc. Tho it obv can get you into quite alot of ****.

Why is the thread called "thin value" eventhough OP go on explaining that he thinks he reps "9T,JT,QT " ?

+1

No clue how you figure you are repping Q10 J10 by checking the flop.

don't do this.

i don't see people getting c/r bluffed in your spot so don't check back Tx in this spot, nor will people expect you to check back a T

anyway you're repping 88-99 going for thin value i guess. even with 99 i wouldn't expect this villain to be loose passive enough for it to work though. 44 is just spew

the type of hand you're trying to valuetown is a hand like A5ss. and if you had 99, a hand like 78s. But put yourself in villain's shoes, with A5s. Hard to see you bet/calling the turn with this.

Good question. Don't see what we're beating on the turn. Calling is pretty thin, but I guess it's o.k.
