Obviously, you're asking how to get it in. If villian is a station, I would lead out the river with a value-bet. I find the pot is too small to shove...

Rationale: if your read is correct, isn't it too risky to try to go for a check-raise? Of course, if he re-raises AI, you're more than happy to call.

Preflop: With villian's numbers and the fact that he has position, his calling range is very wide indeed.

Flop: You bet he raises, he could have a lot of things here, 99+, trips, 34, FD or SD. I would have reraised about 4 to 5 times his bet (about $14 to $17). If he wants to play his FD or SD, I want him to play for his entire stack.

Turn: As played, I too would have checked the flop. He checks behind, which leads me to believe he prolly has something like 34 or 56, maybe an overpair.

River: I would make a value bet offering him something like 5 or 6 to 1 to call and see if he bites.

the pot is not too small to shove, villain has $17 left and the pot is $18.

Hes probably calling with a flush or AA/KK (if he has these) and folding anything else.

If you bet less, then he may just call with a flush and you lose value, even though you may gain when he calls with worse than a flush (A8, 1010 etc). I believe you get max value by pushing.

The main problem was your flop bet-sizing. Bet more first time, and bet more when you three bet. It should go something like
Hero bets $2.50, BTN raises to $5, SB folds, Hero raises to $15

and now you have no problem. As it is, the Q/flush has probably scared villain from putting any more money in, you should take your chances to get the money in when you can.

I think this is too much, you're going to blow out soo many hands you beat doing this. As villain played it i think a raise to $11-12 is fine, but as i've said hero's initial bet should be more.

Also, raising to $12 say, means that villain has less than a half pot sized bet left on the turn, which means you're basically playing for stacks anyway.

I say bet $17 and put villain all in. He will call with all flushes, and all sort of stuff. There is not much in his range that he is going to call a $10 bet but fold to a $17 bet...might as well try for full value.

bet/raise more on the flop. IMO you could definitely lead this flop for 2.75 and raise closer to pot when he raises your flop bet. If he's a station, you should be aiming for max value here since he's missing his flush 2/3 of the time and you'd like as much money in there (especially since you have a redraw to the current nut full house (on the flop). Shove the river as played. Sammy's point about the range for calling 10 vs 17 is spot on. Get that extra 7 bucks!!
