this was againist ur average nit, was playing 10/6 over 60hands, maybe hes running card dead tho.....

one note, plays junk from blinds and checks it down

I think its pretty standard cbet, and turn bet, getting value from flush draws, and what ever weird 9x, or 10 10 type hand he has

on the river the over card comes and i decided to make a 1/2 pot bet, is this ok, or is this a c/c?

Pre Flop: ($0.30) Hero is with J J
Hero raises to $0.70, 1 fold, calls $0.70, 2 folds

Flop: ($1.70) 7 3 9 (2 players)
Hero bets $1.20, calls $1.20

Turn: ($4.10) 8 (2 players)
Hero bets $3.00, calls $3

River: ($10.10) K (2 players)

this is a set imo 90% and burst draw maybe 10%, was the bet on the river spewy

I think I also have to stop these OOP 'thin value bets' on the river.

What value can we get from betting out? He has a lot of Ks in his drawing range, folds most 9s now and there were never many 'TT type hands'.

Note to self: check/call river in these spots. Fold as played without major info.

I think your line is fine, as you say once he raises on the river its an easy fold.

I don't mind a v-bet but it is pretty thin - itt its prob best to avoid these spots at nl20. With so much of his range as a busted FD or SD on the river, i would c/c, and let him bluff at it - only way to get decent value.

It seems there's been a number of hands posted recently when a player OOP makes a 1/2 pot-ish "thin value bet" and gets reraised and has to fold. I'm beginning to think spots like these would be better played c/c. Higher limit action seems to see these spots raised by decent players who see it for what it is.
