Alright, I had been playing with this guy since I joined the table, and I had won some pots at showdown with him and he seemed to be pretty tight.. playing select hands. Did I play this alright? I'm just wondering about the flop play... I guess you could say I pannicked and didn't want him, being in position, to take rep a better hand.

Edit: I bet $5 into the pot on the flop

I'd 4-bet $4.5 with the intention of pushing any flop.

What about calling PF and going for CRAI?

These are both possible options.

As played I like a solid c-bet (OP said $5) which sounds fine and call a push. Either villain somehow has a flush already (AJs, ATs), a set (QQ, KK) or you are ahead. But I wouldn't check because a free card could be devastating to your hand.

Agreed. 4-bet even just a bit more and you have a natural pot-size bet to put him all-in on the flop. Call preflop and CRAI sounds good too, depending on how well he can be trusted to c-bet. He can probably be trusted since he's tight and he 3-bet preflop.

How did you come to your preflop decision?
