benyyy is the most irritating worst HUSNG player on stars, I've lost >1k against him in 110s tonight, the number of 60/40s I've lost is just beyond comprehension. And he thinks he's the BEST player in the world. It's utterly ridiculous, I almost want to cry, every time get in ahead, every time come out behind.

Man, filthy sorry to hear

Start eating healthier (no, Ramen aren't healthy!!!), and take care of yourself. I'm using a Logitech MX510 mouse, and never had an issue, even when I was working on a computer 10hrs/day. If your wrist hurts, get a gel support for it, that should do the trick

- winner takes all the $$, if som1 not mentioned wins, ship back to ppl.
- escrow to C-roy mayb?

any1 interested?

if some ppl wanna change the stakes thats cool, but don't really wanna put more than $20 in..

btw, I would punt for OMGclayAiken/P-galfond
Is FTP's shootout a predetermined bracket? A bracket challenge would be so much more fun...

Re: ****May LC Thread****NSFW

Anyone ever went form ftp regs to ftp turbos? I'm getting some reviews done from spammy in the near future on this format so i obv played some and i'm shocked!

I used to play these a ton when i first started but after a lot of games at reg speeds, and then moving over, it's like i'm playing different animals. The games are just REALLY aggro and i don't feel good at all. I always feel like i'm getting owned but the difference shouldn't be that much surely? Like if i'm playing reg speeds, and we get down to 20bbs< eff, i feel strong in my game but when i'm playing this at turbos, i'm like WTF!

Maybe it's because the players in reg speeds don't have a lot of experience 25bb< whereas turbos, they live off that level? meh idk, fish are fish and i shouldn't be getting owned

mersenneary:

Thoughts on the K9s call yesterday? At the time I thought it was pretty close, but after doing some stoving and talking to a couple other people, I think I probably should have just dumped it. Stacks were still big enough that I don't think I have the right odds unless you're shoving something like 30%, and even then it's close. And I'm just not sure you're shoving *that* wide there.

AON:

I was a losing player over a good sample at the turbos back in February and only a marginally winning player when corrected for all-in equity. I think I've learned a lot since then, but as the reg speeds fit my style much much more, I haven't bothered to find out. The biggest keys in my experience are that you have to 3-bet shove wide and fight for your share of small pots.

Every time I've tried turbos, I felt the exact same way. I suspect that a big part of it is that the really super-donktarded-aggro players and the bad gamblers are much more likely to be playing turbos rather than regular speeds.

I definitely get put out of my comfort zone in them, and they really just feel too fast to me, I always end up feeling like I don't have very much of an edge at all.

If you have my river predictor software that saw the nine coming then of course easy call.

I don't know. I was surprised to see it tbh, but I shove pretty wide over minraises (30% isn't far off) and I can so so easily have a JTs there. I think the problem with K9 is that I'm probably not shoving worse kings so you're not dominating me much, and I'm shoving such a wide range of aces that a lot of the times you call and grumble about how you knew I was light as A2 holds up. I think it's close and not really a hand to worry about too much.

BB: t960 M = 4
Hero (BTN/SB): t2040 M = 8.50

Pre Flop: (t240) Hero is BTN/SB with A A
Hero calls t80, BB raises to t960 all in, Hero calls t800

Flop: (t1920) 9 9 3

Turn: (t1920) 5

River: (t1920) K

Final Pot: t1920
BB shows 9 J (three of a kind, Nines)
Hero shows A A (two pair, Aces and Nines)
BB wins t1920

Yeah i agree 100%. It's an area of my game that i need to improve a lot. They 2 threads on 2+2 helped me a lot but i still don't feel that great about it. Hopefully spammy can help me .

Know that this is super common, I felt the same way. I mix in some turbos now and then (mostly through shootouts) and I do fine now, but I still much prefer the regular speeds. Nothing wrong with understanding your own inherent strengths and feed into them even as you work on weaknesses.

TBH I have done very little reshove and reshove calling math (like almost none), because it simply is not necessary to know against most people, because they're simply shoving way too tight, and flatting *way* too often with shallow stacks OOP, and so I didn't really have any clue how wide you'd need to be shoving to call with K9s there.

It "felt" pretty close, so I called. After playing around with some ranges, I don't really feel like it was a completely donktarded call, but I probably could have dumped it.

And then we would have stacked off on the AJ vs AT anyway.

gg though. It is nice to play people who are really good every once in a while. A much more interesting and fun game IMO. Probably easy for me to say that when I ran so good though. lol

The bluff on the AQx77 board, I really wouldn't bluff there a lot, but I was pretty confident you didn't have better than Qx, and that there was a really good chance I could sell that I had the ace, especially with the board pair, which gives me a free pass to try to valuetown a Q with *any* ace. I wasn't positive you'd fold a Q, but I had T high, and you can show up with a broadway gutshot sometimes too.

The A9 on the 66833 (was it 3s that paired turn and river? something like that I think) board, where you flopped 3 sixes, I know you said laying down the A to the river bet is always bad, but I really did almost lay it down. Sort of an "I know that you know that I know that..." situation, where I know that you know that I can show up with an A, as well as some 8s (not too many though), and that I'm very likely to call with either. I ended up going one level too far there, just because it's so tough for you to actually have a hand.

gg though

Let this be a warning to the rest of you though:

I run like god against 2+2 regs! Just ask mersenneary, DopeyMcDope, and nathan how good I run. (actually, I don't remember what happened at all against nathan, I might have lost. lol)

Re: ****May LC Thread****NSFW

how degenerate on a scale of 1-10 is it to play some superturbo mtts because i am still too sick to play any kind of poker that takes any brain power at all and i haven't played in over 70 hours?

and would superturbos be less bad for my ulcer?

will my degeneracy be off the scale if right in the middle of emergency diarrhea i jump off the toilet and race across the room to play a hand if i see good cards?
