I don't know a lot about you and maybe it's not an issue (yet), but boxers are better with kids and more friendly overall. They're also v smart and active. And yeah - they're smaller.

oh, and you can always try a boxweiler:

I'm thinking of getting one, it's a flip between that and a boxer. But i can't make up my mind because i love them both.
my experience with boxers (and i already got three but the secnd came to my parents house bc he was too old and sick, the other ones came really young and one passed out last year)

they are the best dogs imo , not agressive, dont make mess.

Are the guys on Stars just lazy?

I'm not necessarily disagreeing with you here, I'm just at a loss to explain how it can be easy yet nobody has done it on Stars.
U are right about the 1800 games twice this year but its not close to 24/7
Most of the time 30-40 hours a week. I just dont get why pro poker players only play like 20 hours a week orso. 30-40 hours a week is just a normal work week. Take it serious or find a real job imo. Btw im mostly 3 tabling.

My cat would have kicked a Rottweiler's ass! We made it work out and it ended up looking like a bodybuilder cat with super strong shoulders. It always went berserk when a dog was around

I would've thought Ricestud had done 2000 at some point.

On the dog thing. My wife is a professional dog trainer that works at an animal shelter doing intake and adoptions. In her experience Rottweilers are way cooler/more stable than Boxers. Obviously there are cool Boxers and ****ty Rottweilers but in a vacuum she says Rottweilers temperament make way better pets. She does private training on the side and always seems to have a ****ed up boxer in the mix. Keep in mind we are in an urban enviroment with lots of apartments.

Some things to consider though are you are in Europe, which means our breeds and yours are gonna have different issues etc. I know American German Shepards almost unilaterally have been bread badly in the states and have tons of hip problems, but in Germany they are a much sturdier bread in this regard.

Hey thanks for the advice. Yeah boxers are mad and i think they can be too much hard work. They just don't don't stop running about. My aunt has one and it runs into kitchen cupboards head first all the time, there's something not quite right there lolz.

I'm obv willing to put in a lot of time with a dog but that's the only drawback about Boxers, they just don't run out of batteries :/

Can you ask your wife what she thinks of getting a rottweiler at 2 1/2 yrs old? I know a family that is moving abroad for work reasons and they have to sell their dog (well they could take it with them but their not) but i've been told it DEF better to get a pup if i choose a rottweiler.

I'm starting to lean towards a rottweiler now, jfc, this is tough

REALLY?! I'm a pro poker player because i don't want to work a 40 hour week. I like a flexible schedule and i play when im in the mood. I would guess a large majority of pros feel the same way.
05-20-2009 , 07:02 PM
I really wish I could put in 40 hours =\. For most poker pros you have to be realistic though... I don't think I'd be nearly as profitable if I played that much... hell I might not be profitable at all after 25 hours a week.

So whenever I pop into the HSNL or MSNL forums and read threads about poker pros discussing, arguing, or proposing flips for x amount, I get so confused. These people play poker at a high enough level to beat pretty big stakes (for me), but it excites them to flip a coin and see which way it lands?! So confused by this. I think I got over the 'omg I has cards let me see if I win by getting all-in against this dude blind' after like three months of play. And yet it still interests players at the highest levels. WHY?

She usually will recommend an adult dog to people that have never had a dog. Puppies are hard to raise and you really don't know what you're gonna end up with, even if you do everything right. If you know the dog and get along with it, I'd say its a no brainer.

Curious why people say DEF get a puppy, can you ask them for reasons? One thing about pets, everyone thinks they're a ****ing expert, but most have no idea what they are talking about. Kinda like poker!

Me + wife + 2 teenage kids = 4 computers.

Actually, we're down to 2 right now, with one waiting on a motherboard replacement, and one being in the possession of the police for a long time now (definitely not a story I'm going to go into other than to say that any of you who have daughters...KEEP A MOTHER****ING EYE ON WHAT THEY'RE DOING ONLINE.
