On the dog thing. My wife is a professional dog trainer that works at an animal shelter doing intake and adoptions. In her experience Rottweilers are way cooler/more stable than Boxers. Obviously there are cool Boxers and ****ty Rottweilers but in a vacuum she says Rottweilers temperament make way better pets. She does private training on the side and always seems to have a ****ed up boxer in the mix. Keep in mind we are in an urban enviroment with lots of apartments.
Some things to consider though are you are in Europe, which means our breeds and yours are gonna have different issues etc. I know American German Shepards almost unilaterally have been bread badly in the states and have tons of hip problems, but in Germany they are a much sturdier bread in this regard.
Hey thanks for the advice. Yeah boxers are mad and i think they can be too much hard work. They just don't don't stop running about. My aunt has one and it runs into kitchen cupboards head first all the time, there's something not quite right there lolz.
I'm obv willing to put in a lot of time with a dog but that's the only drawback about Boxers, they just don't run out of batteries :/
Can you ask your wife what she thinks of getting a rottweiler at 2 1/2 yrs old? I know a family that is moving abroad for work reasons and they have to sell their dog (well they could take it with them but their not) but i've been told it DEF better to get a pup if i choose a rottweiler.
I'm starting to lean towards a rottweiler now, jfc, this is tough

Seriously, cats have to be the worst pets in the world.
