When we upgrade, we're usually buying 2 or 3 at a time (4 computers in the basement), so I always just use pricewatch.com.

Last week, I ordered a pretty decent system for just over $500. Not top of the line or anything (AMD Phenom II X3 triple core 2.8ghz, 4GB ram, 250gb hd, nvidia 9800 GTX+, etc), but not too many steps down either.

It usually takes a couple weeks to actually get them that way, but the prices are hard to beat.

Ehm, I used to play like 1k games each month (only turbo's) but once i hit the $110s/$220s that changed to like 500-600 games. I have 437 now according to sharkscope so it'll be around 600 again because I'm pretty eager in the first few weeks of every month but start slacking near the end.

AFAIK nobody has ever done 2k games, I looked it up once, ironically for another person on a prop bet, but I recall Dario being the highest I believe.

I just realised that's 66.6 games a day so it'd have to be weeeellll worth it for me to scrifice a month of my life and basically end up hating poker

2k games is doable, even if nobody has done it, several people have been within a few hundred, many that I know about are Stars players (if your turbo on FTP takes 6 minutes, our Stars turbos take about 11 on avg, so you do the math there).

2k games on Stars turbos might be worth a prop bet, especially if you have to play with a certain # of buyins (anybody could just play 2-3k $5 buyin games if the money is right, wouldn't matter if you lost money).
