Radeh's night out:

Was out with a few (loaded) friends, and we had a table reserved at one of London's member clubs. Even though we had a table reserved, they let us stand in the rain for 40 bloody minutes...and even my friend trying to bribe the bouncer with 100 pounds (he went all the way to 500 pounds) wouldn't convince that stupid **** to let us in early. Once we got in, we found out that the DJ must be the resident DJ of Inferno (crap club), and most of the people inside the club were dead inside (as in: pretentious wanna-bes).

So we left, and went to one of the MOST low-key punk rock bars in London...Crowbar. Most of the people in there are dead-broke, but at least they have character, and even the most broke bum in there offered me a free cigarette...whereas they tried to sell us a pack at 2.5x the price at that stupid members club. The cool thing was that a whiskey coke cost only 2.5 pounds in there, so we ended up paying everyone round after round

Moral of the story: character > pretentious wanna-bes

I think the "war" part of wanting "a leveling war, any stakes" must have been confusing. The point is of course to have fun/get better.

and lol at you thinking it's vain for me to suggest playing me would make you a better player. Of course it would. So would playing anybody else who is beating stakes at or above where you play and/or has a solid poker mind. To be clear, I wasn't insinuating that I wouldn't learn anything from you. Challenging you out of optimism for how interesting the game would be kind of implies the opposite, no?

How about a leveling conflict?

After only 2 days of playing since the implementation of Stars' rematch button, I can safely predict this will be the end of many fishes bankrolls.

Is it STILL too early to say "**** May" yet?

35 BI downswing
4.0 over 7 semesters is toast (ok, this is the result of ONE B+ in my final semester, in a "for fun" course that I KNEW that I didn't have the background to do amazingly well in, but still)
Probably didn't pass my professional exam that I took today
Still can't find a real ****ing job
g/f has suffered a rather recent quarter-life crisis

**** May. I don't care what you all say. **** May.

What is it with regs who insist on rematching me and joining my games if I decline? Are they like, 4-tabling and trying to get max volume in? I can't see how they'd get the impression that even if they think they're slightly +EV against me, that it is the most profitable thing they could be doing. The one just before was possibly results oriented ("I won 3-0!) despite winning each time while dominated all-in.

I get a few of those too.

Eventually I just get tired of saying "you realize that there are much worse players than me out there, right?"
05-15-2009 , 12:59 AM
I'm now thinking (based on what I actually did) that it might be a "loss-leader" play - designed to make me give up playing for the meantime, which, if we both try sitting first, reduces competition for fish.

yeah try not to think about the money and stuff that usually ends up in running bad somehow.

but i'd reccomend moving up so you can get back to where you were rather than wasting ur time with $11s dude.

seriously just commit to a day where you play only $22s or $33s or w/e i swear you'd beat them just as easily.
