Self-expression or self-imolation?

BTN: 147 BB
SB: 99 BB
Hero (BB): 326.8 BB
UTG: 106.4 BB
MP: 361.6 BB
CO: 100 BB

SB posts SB 0.4 BB, Hero posts BB 1 BB

Pre Flop: (pot: 1.4 BB) Hero has 7 J

fold, fold, fold, BTN raises to 3 BB, fold, Hero raises to 12 BB, BTN calls 9 BB

Flop: (24.4 BB, 2 players) 8 7 3
Hero bets 10 BB, BTN calls 10 BB

Turn: (44.4 BB, 2 players) 5
Hero checks, BTN bets 21.4 BB, Hero raises to 304.8 BB and is all-in

This looks a lot like forced aggression. Trying to be aggro without good reason.

Skip pre unless btn folds a lot, as you get deeper most player will fold less IP. I dont think turn is a thing in theory in practice ofc fine if he fold a ton, but i dont see why would he. His range is not capped at all. Maybe he calls off with 56s

This seems like a random violent outburst I sometimes do xD Lil too extreme for my taste especially 150bb deep

edit: unless you have some reads on the guy

Ok, Pio hates it. GTOw hates it. I hate it.

But....

Well, it worked. I think V's call small flop/stab 50 turn range is probably quite weak on this board. We block JJ and sets. I'm also probably checking range ott, whereas GTO would bet quite often, so our turn XR is going to be modified. Bluffing SDV not great but when he bets this size we have very little of it anyway.

Also think being deep helps this bluff. We have a formidable X/J range that really gets to squeeze lower PPs. So any vaguely thinking player is in tough **** mode and is going to feel the pain of stabbing with a low equity combo.

Probs a disaster vs a station though.

It looks epic, so if it looks epic to me then it's a punt.

I don't think its that bad in reality because villains at low limits tend to bet too often on turn in this spot. They overprotect with weakish 1 pair hands and they bet all their draws like jt t9 fd etc even 66
I don't think its a well played hand but it might not be too much of a punt in reality

It is definitely out of the box hand and it seems you have good reason for doing that which is good. Me myself would be too scared to even try that. Usually they snap call with 2 pair+ when I try big bluffs.

Note to self: One good idea would be to practise plays like these couple of stakes lower. And target the regs.
