This is not inherently obvious to me but I am going to assume this is because our position gives us many options on the river including shoving on a river spade (if checked to) and folding if our draw misses and he shoves?

With your position, I like the call because it gives you options on the river. If you don't believe the cbet then you can bet the K if the river bricks, bet spade, or hit straight.

If he doesn't have the K then you have Q/J outs depending on if he is on flush draw. So maybe shove but your still a dog to A high or any under pair to your J. Call seems the better option in a cash game. I might feel different in a tourney situation.
