Do you think it makes sense to check this flop sometimes with this holding?

Would you ever take this line with a hand such as KJs as a bluff versus a disciplined opponent?

Larger preflop

Definitely checking here sometimes; in fact, this board is cbet less than ppl probably think, only about 60% of the time and for a larger sizing.

As for our bluff combos otr, KJ is too strong to put in that bucket imo. I guess we would use hands like 65s, 76s that block villains sets?

When you bet the river you do so for one of two reasons. Either you want a lesser hand to call or you want a better hand to fold. With JJ on this board, you obviously are targeting lesser hands for value, and villain could have any number of lesser hand that would call. With KJ on the same board, it’s hard to find many lesser hands that would call. It also seems hard to find many better hands that would fold, maybe AJ, but what else? I don’t think villain would fold any two pair or set combos here. I think KJ has too much showdown value to turn into a bluff; small suited connectors would be better bluff candidates, as Franchise suggested.

Top set makes it into checking range? Why not build a pot with a hand seemingly invulnerable?

It's mixed, but the idea is that we block villain's calling range and since we are betting so large on this board that range includes a lot of Jx. In theory we also need to protect our checking range.

I don't think V has to fold much to a cbet though, mostly his trash Ax?

This was my reasoning for checking the flop. Apparently my opponent said I had JJ in the chat and that he folded 44. This hand actually inspired my bluff on this hand: https://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/6.../#post58532192

How did that hand inspire this one?

Other way around. This hand inspired that one. Since my opponent made a tight fold with a set in this 3-bet pot to the river check/raise, I figured I could try some river/check raises as a bluff.
