We have been playing our msnl hu match for 3.5 hours , i didnt even want to play tonight because i wanted to go to sleep 3.5 hours ago as I'm playing EPT monte carlo tomorrow which is now in 5 hours. I just want to go to sleep and resume later, he refuses to pause because weve started and stopped a bunch of times already. I think its absurd that i'm staying up all night to do this when im playing a 15k soon.

i agree he should be nice and pause, but why'd you start if you wanted to get some sleep tonight? these are known to potentially take forever, and if the money is important to him, i guess i can understand why he might not want to stop if he thinks he has the momentum or a good read on how you're playing. as per the rules it's not really fair to him to force him to pause.

it's obviously dick of him, but that doesn't make cheating okay, and it's pretty sad that some of you assume that's a standard response.

Hopefully you can see why I decided not to pause for Zugwat. First off, before we started I let him know that I was planning to finish the match. I wanted to finish before finals week started, but Zugwat is only self-interested.

Zugwat also chose to stop and start the matches whenever he wanted, including times where I had momentum. I was tired of this, and decided to play the match on my terms for once, and not agree to stop the match just because Zugwat felt like it.

MC EPT or not, he knew what he was getting into, and played. The match started getting long, and he started whining. All I wanted was to play the damn match all the way through and get it over with, without Zug constantly stopping and starting mini-sessions whenever it benefitted him.

I was concerned with one thing only, and that was to not play during finals week. Obv Zug didn't care what I was concerned with, so in turn, I did not return any favors to him.

Oh, and for the ******s who say that I wanted him to forfeit. Who entered this tournament for the money? Seriously....

Oh, and I made it known that if the match got to the point where the EPT MC was actually starting for him, i would postpone just because it's out of his control.
