Party Poker, $2/$4 NL Hold'em Cash Game, 6 Players
LeggoPoker.com - Hand History Converter

UTG: $570.75
MP: $100
CO: $748.40
BTN: $400
SB: $402
Hero (BB): $465.35

Pre-Flop: T J dealt to Hero (BB)
2 folds, CO raises to $14, 2 folds, Hero calls $10

Flop: ($30) T 2 6 (2 Players)
Hero checks, CO checks

Turn: ($30) 6 (2 Players)
Hero bets $22, CO calls $22

River: ($74) K (2 Players)
Hero bets $52, CO raises to $165

Villain is 22/20, high attempt to steal. Regular player, plays mostly 600 I think. Definately fights for pots, but he is also not spewtarded. I don't think he is tag botting or anything. He has seen me make a light call earlier that was good, he complimented it in the chat so I'm sure he has seen this. I've been playing aggro post, normal tag pre (20/15).

I call here pre, which is quite marginal. I planned on calling flop. I'm not sure what he is checking behind here, but I would expect that he bets almost all his air here. On the river, I figured I have the best hand alot and let him call with a marginal hand (I could have a busted draw, I think my turn and river line def look like it). Not really expected a raise.

Comments?

he has 6x often enough here to merit a fold imo.

Blah, dumb hand. Hard to figure out at all what he checks back on the flop, seen as i'd assume he'd bet most draws, small pairs and air?

I wouldn't bet river, i think your hand is a bluff catcher, but i think you can catch one pretty often if he bets out. I probably call 70% on your line though, his line doesn't really consistent with anything except a K high float (i think?) and i call when i get suspicious. I'm also a pretty big station though

River bet is pretty thin for value.

I don't know wtf he's repping... AK maybe? Would be strange for 6x not to raise turn.

I'd be very tempted to shove now.

i see your point, but im not sure AK shows up here alot on the river either. Maaaybe AKss but im guessing villain would bet the flop.

meh, ur getting 2.5 to 1 on the call, im still not sure i like it.

shoving is interesting, but im a wuss. I foldz.
its not as if hero has shown a redic weak line or anything, c/call, lead turn and river. I just dont see villains bluffing alot here.

Guys that don't want to bet the river: once we get there, I can't really think of a hand that beats me except for a K high float. I'd say that he is not giving up on the flop with air, position and HU means a bet will show a profit on this flop. Are these too big assumptions?

lwrunner,

I don't think we are trying to get called if we shove? We might fold out a K?

Eddi,

I don't think he is ever folding a 6.
