You know, I can't help but think that one of the online sites is going to try anonymous play at some point, but I can't actually figure out if I like the idea or not.

A big part of poker is identifying opponent tendencies and reacting to them (something that I'm particularly bad at, which would explain why I've been able to play such an absurdly large number of hands while still somehow managing to be a very marginal winner), and I'm not sure what I think about erasing all past history against an opponent and requiring a fresh restart every time you play the same player. (which, admittedly, doesn't happen all that much at lower limits anyway)

thank you. i think that this is something that will, regardless of what action FT takes, as long as they take some sort of action, benefit everyone in the long and short run.

today i played 2tabling for 15 minutes w/ daevils. i got pwned so hard and i played like a ****** chicken!!! lol

i chekced back turn AND river w/ trips and a v good kicker lol. played scared money, but pretty tilted. pretty sick... i got pwned hard, obv, but least i ran pretty hot and finished almost breakeven. (tyty poker gods)

i wish daviels could coach me... anyone know if daevils would coach?

another question, whats the best school for poker videos ?? i never saw any video before, so i have no idea about these things. i could pay more than 1 school, but i have no idea about what schools... i am looking for 10/20 to 50/100 videos. anyone can help me?

I completely agree with this. The way I see it is that raising the button the very first hand and then sitting out is ethically analagous to your opponent 3 betting you the very first hand and then sitting out. In both situations the raiser has a distinct advantage in that the majority of the time the bb is folding facing a button raise, and the majority of the time the sb is folding facing a 3 bet.

urubu just one question you made your way up to 50-100 without ever watching a video? where did you learn your strategy? if you did it all by yourself it's pretty impressive imo

i am way underolled to 50/100 and almost never play at this stakes. i just take a shot at 50/100 when i am pretty tilted (like today and when i played w/ krantz) or when i see a big fish online.

ya i made my way w/o ever watching a video because my english is pretty bad. and all poker videos are in english... btw brazil has 1 or 2 poker schools which has some videos, but i am better than all brazilian instructors so i couldn't see a poker video.

i learned poker just playing alone. i grinded hard, played a ton of hands and learned just observing my oponents. i would say i played some matchs that really helped... the match w/ cftw at 2/4 months ago helped me a LOT, some other matchs w/ some very good regs help me a ton too.

i would say, to learn poker, just play w/ players who are better than you and look how they play. then try do like they do...try understand why they did that play etc etc. everytime i got pwned hard i learned a LOT. today i saw daevils making some plays that i never saw before, but now i will do this plays too. i got tilted, but at least i learned stuff that i never would think about.

nowadays i am having english classes, so i am improving my english a little and i think i will be able to see some poker videos. probably i won't understand all things, but i think would help me a little. oh i am looking for a coach too, because i think in few weaks i will be able to talk well in english.

no. while i agree with all of citanul's suggestions, you can't hold it against someone for sitting at several tables waiting for fish to show up.

you've seen forrest gump haven't you? how well was bubba gump shrimp's one small boat doing out in the ocean against the gigantic fleet of other shrimp boats? until hurricane citanul comes through and wipes out everyone's extra boats, you have to cast a wide net in order to catch a few shrimps.

you're wrong augie_, I've tried opening 16 tables twice and I didn't get more fish than when I have only 2 tables open. I do think fish can get scared of a guy who's sitting on countless tables

Well, the way I look at it, I was attempting to have a respectful discussion with this player about why what they are doing sucks for the rest of us.

Had he not immediately said "30 secs to leave" and threatened to call support, I would probably have stood up and left the spot open while I said my piece.

I also disagree that opening 4 tables makes you any more likely to get anybody to sit down with you. In fact, you're pretty much excluding yourself from getting sat by anybody who even does a cursory scan of who's sitting at the tables, IMO.

Regardless, sitting at more tables than you ever intend to play, just in hopes that somebody will sit with you instead of somebody else, is absolutely ridiculous.
