Maybe we somehow get together a group of trustworthy people (return losses/winnings) and start really messing up our data. The ideal situation would be that everyone dumps to one main account, so all but that one go hugely negative, and then re-distribute. Obviously this requires an insane amount of trust but meh... I think it's time to fight fire with fire.
thats chipdumping and gets you banned from most pokersites right ?

Name changes every few months or just once and FT making tables unobservable would be pretty sweet.

Why? Would kill off PTR.

Keep it for railing nosebleeds. How often do you really need to open up a table and watch it for hours?

Never heard anyone complaining about it for rush poker.

people like to have friends watch. there are some very interesting 25/50 match. Where do you draw the line with "watchable tables"?

FTP would obv never do it. Too many people like watching.

And its basically impossible to watch a rush poker table bc it closes too quickly. Its a different game entirely.

Nosebleeds/high stakes, fine.

I would be okay with that - kind of like PokerDB just keeps track of 25/50+

Don't think someone needs to watch some 100nl 6max/HU table for hours.

Everyone complains about PTR, but they also oppose measures to get rid of it. Guess people just like to have something to complain about.

Wouldn't making tables unobservable if you aren't logged in do the same thing?
*******HU CASH Regs thread******* Quote

Well if you can still obs when logged in PTR can still observe all the tables.

Doesn't take much to run 10+ FT accounts on one computer.

Blocking observation of tables is ******ed. Friends rail friends all the time at the lower stakes. Also imagine brand new players who just downloaded it to give it a try and they can't even watch games with a buyin of less than $5000?

I'm not a huge fan of screenname changes either. It sucks PTR is pushing forward and trying to expand, as they were they obviously weren't great but I was willing to put up with them because of the good **** they do (monitoring the games, providing players with data to check collusion, the AP security leak).

Yah - guess so.

I never observe but guess people think it's fun.

Yeah I mean just imagine you have never played online poker and are downloading a site to think about trying it out and you can't even watch a game?

Also, all out of PTR premium invites but as soon as I get more I'll send to the people who already PM'd me. Also if you have extras post here cause I know there are some people out there who want them but I didn't have enough.

What exactly are the rules if someone sits out at a table at FTP and says they don't want to play you? Do you have to get up or is the table yours?

From a site's perspective, it seems like it should be fairly easy to distinguish between a person observing a table and the massively intense processes that ptr must use to observe tables.

If anyone could spare 10 mins to have a glance at a session i just played i'd be incredibly greatful, I'd be happy to do the same but I'm a super micro player so don't know how much value that would have.

I wouldn't ask if i wasn't desperate, in this last hour all those warnings about "at some point you'll run worse than you think is possible, and then you'll run worse still" came true in about 150 hands, obviously by the end i was furious, but i just want someone to tell me i wan't totally outplayed (or if i was, why).

I'm not trying to scam some free coaching, just could do with someone else saying don't worry man, he was just running super hot.

can some1 (maybe gugel) can describe the process/system that ptr uses to grab hands?

Yea but PTR doesn't seem to track any room that doesn't allow observing tables when not logged in and even if it did, it shouldn't be too hard for rooms to figure out accounts used for data mining.

Oh and it's May so where the f is promised hu4rolz between danos and mjifi??

He did a series for cardrunners w/ zaitsev called "behind the grind" (definitely very, very worth watching, obviously) a few weeks ago.. Since their site update I believe he's been signed as a CR pro, too.

It seems to me FTP is ok with PTR for the moment. If PTR is just using the observe function to watch tables and record hands I can't imagine any objection from players to require a log in at the lobby before observing any tables.

I watched it for first 5 minutes and got tilted at zaitsev and quit...

Probably should give it a new try sometime
